Simona
You're getting older
Your journey's been etched
On your skin
Simona
Wish I had known that
What seemed so strong
Has been and gone
[Chorus]
I would call you up everyday Saturday night
And we'd both stay out until the morning light
And we sang, "Here we go again"
And though time goes by
I will always be
In a club with you
In 1973
Singing, "Here we go again"
Simona
Wish I was sober
So I could see clearly now
The rain has gone
Simona
I guess it's over
My memory plays our tune
The same old song
[Chorus x3]
You're getting older
Your journey's been etched
On your skin
Simona
Wish I had known that
What seemed so strong
Has been and gone
[Chorus]
I would call you up everyday Saturday night
And we'd both stay out until the morning light
And we sang, "Here we go again"
And though time goes by
I will always be
In a club with you
In 1973
Singing, "Here we go again"
Simona
Wish I was sober
So I could see clearly now
The rain has gone
Simona
I guess it's over
My memory plays our tune
The same old song
[Chorus x3]

puke puke
To me, Simona represents his mother. Not to say that his birth signified an end to her happiness, but having a child always marks a major change in life. One can no longer be as carefree as before. The fact that he sings about her getting older can also signify how his once lively mother is now aging. When he sings "in a club with you" I interpret it as being in her womb while she is at a club. He wishes he could "see clear" because it is dark within the womb, yet he can still hear the "same old song". Calling his mother up could signify that he kicked in her womb and woke her up, so she sang him a song with the lyrics "here we go again".
This may not have been Blunt's actual meaning for this song, but I like to interpret it this way because I feel it gives it more significance for me.
he is the best
And that she got pregnant of james that year.
Why the song, has a depressive tune,i dunno.
maybe the two got seperated along the way(divorced, one of them died)
