  General Comment:I feel like I have a different interpretation but my take is that it's more about the singer. Like the singer is the type to have a lot of things going on and is constantly busy but then when the one he cares about comes around, everything stops and things are awesome. He wants to stop his crazy life when she's around.
  
  And the end of the song is kind of like he wants to settle down and really find someone special to spend time with.
  
  Maybe that's with this "bernadette " or not. Not sure but sort of doesn't matter. The song's about him and his busy driven life and wanting to find someone to share that with.
