I absolutely love this song, maybe one of my favorite songs by LP
my friend fits into this category very well. she used to be sweet and generous and kind and now she's turned into this rude two-faced ass. she steps all over people and takes advantage of them.

It seems like he has tried to get away from this person before, but they don't even understand why he wants them to leave him. He's stuck and left begging them to leave him alone. Why? I'm not really sure about that.
He ends the song repeating "you try to take the best of me." That's the one part of the song I don't understand... what's the best part of him that they keep trying to take away? I don't know that much about LP's history so could someone possibly shed some light on what he could possibly be talking about? It just seems to me that this song is about more than a simple person who has been trying to use him. Too much emotion... but thats just me.
