the bombs are other people's problems that the band has heard of, but they have their own problems to worry about, hence, "there is a bomber in me too."
i don't know it's just an idea, but the last verse especially makes sense if you think of it this way.
"I am an echo I am hurt but never seen" should be "I am an echo I am HEARD but never seen" and where it says "Collecting leafs collecting all abandoned hearts" i think its "Collecting NAMES collecting all abandoned hearts"
