    General Comment:I don't really think the meaning to this song can be confused. It's pretty obvious, as several others have pointed out. It's just about growing up, and not really having confidence in what you're "supposed" to do, or what people expect you to do with your life.

    My Interpretation:In my opinion, the song is about coming of age. It's about htting the point in your life where you have to decide what to do with your life. The subject of the song is trying to decide what to do with his life and is looking for influence.
