Time passes by, direction unknown
You've left us now, but we're not alone
Before you know it your cup's overflown
You measure no one that I've ever known

[Chorus:]
And it's quite all right
And goodbye for now
Just look up to the stars and believe who you are
'Cause it's quite all right
And so long, goodbye

We always knew that it'd come to this
It's times like these I forget what I miss
Matters of heart are hard to address
Especially when yours is full of emptiness

[Chorus]

Time passes by, direction unknown
You've left us now, but we're not alone
Before you know it your cup's overflown
You measure no one that I've ever known

[Chorus]

General Comment:I'm not a huge Sum 41 fan, their music is good, though. Yellowcard is my all-time favorite band.
But, if this song is about Dave leaving the band, then it definitely reminds me of Five Becomes Four by Yellowcard. Except this song is slow and acoustic, pretty much the total opposite of Five Becomes Four. Still, both great songs, both great bands.

    And it's quite alright
    And goodbye for now.......

everytime i hear it i get depressed ,no joking, i can relate so much...
it's like trying to convince yourself everything will be alright...but you know it wont...
    you knew from the start...

    forget me not:p

General Comment:It's too bad people immediately think of Green Day when they hear this song. It's awesome all on its own. My second favorite on the album.

General Comment:yes, the song is about dave leaving the band.

and yes, this song should remind you about ''good riddance'' by green day, not only because they are an influence, but its in the same key. the G5, C7, D, Em progression is a very popular and wellknown progression... it's used in a lot of songs, including ones that ive written =)
