Lyrics for Alligator as interpreted by Razamin

Alligator Lyrics
it's a fear, it is near. the shape becomes ever clear.
It bares teeth, extra sharp, that'll cut you in the heart.
It attacks really quick, try and fight it with a stick.
it's no use, give it up, this is life and this is love.

You are my alligator

this is my favourite song by them, easily. it has that melancholy tone of hopeless love.

in a way, it's sort of their version of...(this comes to mind) lovedrug's paper scars.

Posted lyrics are incorrect.

Actual lyrics should read:

It's a fear. It is near. The shriek becomes ever clear.
It bears teeth: extra sharp that'll cut you in the heart.
It attacks really quick, try and fight it with a stick.
There's no use, give it up, this is life and this is love.

You are my alligator.
You are my alligator.

it's actually

"it's a fear, it is near. the shape becomes ever clear. It bares teeth, extra sharp, that'll cut you in the heart. It attacks really quick, try and fight it with a stick, it's no use give it up, this is life and this is love. You are my alligator"

I love this song, especially the new version

I think the alligator is "life" or "love", the problem that's gotta be confronted, it bears teeth, extra sharp that'll cut you in the heart.

Why should everything be so close to reality? Don't we think that with the grandiouse nature of the music should insite some kind of recogntion of the mystic or mythical--hell, something we cannot name? Like "it's no use, give it up, this is life and this is love" is an Alligator as meaningful metaphor doesn't scream something off in our brains like what a crappy metaphor! The irony is stupendous! Just listen to the music; I swear it is there! (Oh, and is everyone listening to the Choir Version?)

Comparing love to an alligator.
Trying to fight heartbreak, but love is dangerous and hurts.
