anyways i think this song is about josh's heroin addiction
here is my interpretation of the lyrics, but remember with the genius that is marianas trench, their songs can be seen different ways depending on who is listening :)

josh is saying that he will (metaphorically) cut away this 'pound of flesh' until the other person (or his addiction) is pleased... so basically he will keep killing himself until his craving is fed.

I was listening to it on my iPod a few hours ago, and I paused right near the end (about nine or ten seconds before the end of the song), during Josh's scream.
So when I put the song on "play" again, I heard...

It was really freaky, but it was hilarious.
Anyway, I love this song.
Although that may be because I'm a huge M-Trench fan.

I wanted to see one of their shows, they were with Three Days Grace and some other really good bands, and I was pysched, and I was going to buy some tickets and I got angry because you have to be nineteen and up to attend.

The fact that he not only remembered a fan, but also their handshake thingy..? I love Josh Ramsay ten times more. I've always known he loves his fans... And I've heard a ton about how he remembers fans after seeing them once. It's down-to-Earthness like this that we don't get a lot these days. I absolutely love Marianas Trench, and the realness of them, from their music to their personalities.

I actually thought this song was about abuse. Not self mutilation abuse, but as in, parental abuse, or whenever someone would hit you, and the vertigo was the bruise. Vertigo is a color.... right?
