My long distance girlfriend broke up With me.. (we have been going out for
1 year 6 months)
During the last few months, she was distant, making me feel like she didn't want to talk to me.
She always talked about a guy who "looked like me".
She always hung out with him, and I felt something was going on, but I loved her so much that I never brought it up.
Everytime I called her, she was out somewhere with him.
Then one day, she said she felt like I was just her friend who lived far away, she felt I wasn't her boyfriend anymore.
I haven't spoken to her in a week.
I have dreams that she was cheating on me all along.

That same day, I was about to leave for the airport to go visit her and purpose to her.

General Comment:I totally understand where this song is coming from. I dated someone for over a year and he broke up with me because he wanted to go onto bigger and better things, but it's been months and I'm still not over it. it kills me not knowing what he could be doing...the idea of him moving on sucks, because I haven't been able to move on yet and I know that if he moves on then that means that he really doesn't feel the same anymore...

General Comment:I honestly think this song is about a guy who has a crush on his best friend. Well that's how I take it...they've been friends forever and he loves her. but she dates other people so he feels kinda ditched I guess...anyways. Great song =] peace, love, robots

General Comment:Song after a breakup: the transition in the lyrics is really beautiful, starting with "Katie don't cry" and yet the boy is the one who suffers in the end. The girl is perfect, and yet they can't be together (unknown reason) I like that the reason isn't directly stated because it let's us put personal experience into it. The boy obsesses over the girl for quite a while. He is nothing without her, he will die knowing he let the love of his life slip through his hands.

The song it's self is about this guy who wrote it and his girlfriend (whose name isn't Katie) and he was going off to the military, and the Ocala Military base (ocala is calling) and they were together for 4 years, and he was only gone for 4 months and she cheated on him, and so the beginning is sarcasm "Katie don't cry, i know, you're trying your hardest, but the hardest part is letting go of the nights we shared, ocala is calling" the song is pretty much how he can't trust her again, even though he loves her so much, and that she promised that everything was going to be okay, she still ended up cheating.
