    My Interpretation:This lyric from my opinion, sounds to me like someone who is having an inner battle with there self about an anxiety, which they have yet to confront, hence running and hiding their pain and waiting for a miracle to take it away. Possibly social anxiety- "We've learned to run from anything uncomfortable. We've tied our pain below and no one ever has to know, that inside we're broken. I try to patch things up again, to calm my tears and kill these fears, but have I told you, have I?" They typically keep these things to themselves. Just a thought.

    Song Meaning:The second verse, to me, is about how you think everything's going wrong but you can't show it. You're just trying to fix it, but there's no one you can rely on to help you. Of course, the rest of the song contradicts this, but if you have the second verse alone, this is what it says to me. And I can relate to that.

    Song Meaning:okay, so basically, i think, that at the beginning she's talking about how her life is like, messed up, and "beginning with you and i" means, thstt she's qonna start by fixing that, part of her life.
    ithink that, in the chorus the "miracle" is being saved by jesus, and that "i wont let you give up onn a miracle, cos it miqht save you" means that she wants that person to recognize jesus as their saviour, cos it miqht save them from doing some really idiotic stuff.

    My Interpretation:I've never really listened to the song that in depth, but the first couple of times I heard it I interpreted it with a religious theme; I thought she was kind of saying that she has these strong beliefs that applied to her and she wasn't about to give up on them regardless of other peoples ideas and such. And that ultimately she wanted to help others believe the way she would .. although this seems completely wrong now it was fitting at the time. I think I was doing a lot of that when I first heard it, standing up for my beliefs when others told me I was wrong.

    General Comment:yeah, this song has a ton of possible interpretations. its not definitely about god, but it could be. i think of me and my friend. we are both screwed up, but im trying to save him because hes worse. but its hard because i have some of the same issues. but i wont give up on him.

    General Comment:I think it is rediculous how all of you think only one of you is right.
    All of you are right with your oppinions on the meaning of this song but wrong in thinking its the only way anyone could or should interpret it.
    I personally have looked at it in the christian and secular way. No song can have just one meaning around the world. Depending on ones mood or waht they are going through in life it could be your coming to or back to God or working out a relationship.
    And word to the wise people...even God dislikes a smart ass know it all. Makes him look bad
