You finally pulled back when the world pulled your hair
Alone in the room with a question hangin
You left with your hand in the air, and it's still there

But your time(?) moves so fast
Twelve years old *someting* but you come in last
Had a mirror that would never lie
But i think it always pays to try

And everytime i saw you
You were trying so hard to explain
Broadcast failure
Now the plastic bowl its spinning down to drain

But you came through, you came through
When nobody expected you to
You came through, you came through
With all those narrowed eyes upon you
You came through, you came through

Now you wish you weighed a thousand pounds
So you could crush all those bullies and demons down
From your seat at the back of the bus
You're still waving back at us

And everytime i saw you
You were trying so hard to explain
Broadcast failure
Now your plastic bowl its spinning down to drain

But you came through, you came through
When nobody expected you to

General Comment:I think in the first part of the chorus, the line is "Broadcast failure, like a plastic boat spinning down the drain".

General Comment:Wicked song about the difficulties of being 12 years old, a very tricky age where your body and your head are doing crazy things. At 12 I had a facefull of acne and almost couldnt look in the mirror without crying. My daughter is 12 now and she is so difficult to deal with, she used to be such a good girl, she still is but man its tough getting through to her. I know she is having trouble with school , boys etc. but I know she will pull through it and be OK.

    General Comment:Corrected lyrics:
You finally pulled back when the world pulled your hair
Alone in the room with a question hangin
You left with your hand in the air, and it's still there

At your age life moves so fast
Twelve years old, skinny legs, built to come in last
add a mirror that would never lie
When you're doubting, it never pays to try

    And everytime i saw you
You were trying so hard to explain
    Broadcast failure
Like a plastic bowl its spinning down to drain

But you came through, you came through
    When nobody expected you to
You came through, you came through
With all those narrowed eyes upon you
You came through, you came through

Now you wish you weighed a thousand pounds
So you could crush those bullies and demons down
From your seat at the back of the bus
    Still waving back at us

    And everytime i saw you
You were trying so hard to explain
    Broadcast failure
Like a plastic boat spinning down to drain

But you came through, you came through
    When nobody expected you to
