Wanna see my passin' flames?
Don't waste a drop, baby, I ain't first
Where I was born, no escape
There ain't even no good bad drugs
In the city, is it true?
If you don't, you act like you do
Feast of fools, I can't wait
Give 'em a taste of my misfit love

Complicate
Incarcerate
Feel my heart wake up?

Ain't born to lose, baby
I'm born to win
I'm so goddamn sick, baby, it's a sin
It's a sin

Transforming is becoming...
Transforming is becoming on me

Do me first, do your worst
Gimme what I want some of
One-track mind, no time to waste

Sidewalks, feel me strut so good
Gutter, don't forget this face
Let 'em taste my misfit love
I'll show you all my dirty tricks
Then show 'em again I'm so proud of 'em
It's cruel to be constantly
Feel my heart play dumb

Ain't born to lose, baby
I'm born to win
I'm so sick, baby, it's a sin
It's a sin

Just a dead man, walking through the dead of night
And if you're going anywhere tonight...
Just a dead end walking through the dead of night
And if you are going, can I get a ride?
Just a dead man walking through the dead of night
It's impossible to wait until the light
'Cause I'm already gone
If you bet on me, you've won
'Cause I'm already gone
If you bet on me, you've won
'Cause I'm already gone
If you bet on me, you've won
'Cause I'm already gone
If you bet on me, you've won

General Comment:To me, it sounded like

"I'm just a dark knight walking through a dark night"

General Comment:Forget the meaning and lyrics... listen to the live version on Henry Rollins' Show:

My Interpretation:This song is awesome. I can listen to it over and over, but never get tired of it. I think that Josh is singing about making a permanent move from a small town to the big city. The rest of the song is about being cocky about picking up hookers. But at the end of the night, the hookers take his money and Josh passes out before he can do anything. His friends knew he'd get too drunk and just pass out. He was like a dead man walking in the dead of night, very drunk, no emotion, and he friends bet on him and won.

General Comment:I think everyone's right about the first part, cockiness, bravado, strolling into the city like he's a badass and thinking he can rock star it up with no consequences.

The end part (which is beautiful) is more like turning the lights on and looking in the mirror after a long night. You see the bloodshoot eyes and the dark circles and realize you're kind of already dead - all these adventures have been pretty fake - you're gone.

I like how it's connected to "sutre up my future" where he also says he's already gone.
Why go to rehab now? I am dead person walking around.

General Comment:Well, it's been al ittle bit since I posted for this song. Typically, I wouldn't feel the need to post again but wow... This song has totally transformed for me. It's gone from a catchy little tune to my own personal THEME SONG! What an awesome song that seemes to just exude a sense of narcicissm. I love it.

General Comment:Just to correct KingTB540 and no limit, he is muttering

    "A thrill...
    I need a thrill...
    Oh I want a thrill
    I need a thrill..
    A thrill"
    etc.

It still fits in well with most of the ideas mentioned.

would make sense, the sarcasm in it summerizes the complete song.

General Comment:I completely agree with nolimit, I think that Mike is muttering(or growling how ever you see it) something and I saw the Henry Rollins show (a repeat on fuse) and did see him muttering something.... I listened to that part many a time and i think that Mike is muttering

    "Crown..
    I wanna Crown
    Crown
    I need a Crown"

I think he says this over and over again through out that second verse

General Comment:I was thinking the song was about Picking up hookers in Las Vegas.
    God they are everywhere.
Not to mention that would be Misfit Love.

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
at the end of the song he is gone.

General Comment:I definitely love the cockiness of this song
After continuously listening to it, it's rubbed off on me.
    Especially the
"sidewalks, feel me strut so good....gutter don't you forget this face" part
Shows off he used to be nothing, but now he struts down the street...taking whatever he wants.
