Time kills
Go ask Jesus
I'm done
Makes no difference
Stare straight
Stare at the sun
I'm done
Makes no difference

Time takes us all
So, why am I not just living for today?
Time takes us
Time takes us all
Will I die right now?
I'm only seconds away
Time takes us

Move on
Gone forever
I'm done
Makes no difference
Poison
Time kills slowly
You're done
Makes no difference

Time takes us all
So, why am I not just living for today?
Time takes us
Time takes us all
Will I die right now?
It could be seconds away
Time takes us

Time will now be
Time will now be
Time will now be (time will now be) the chopping block
Leave my head
Time will now be the chopping block
So leave my head!
Leave my head!
Leave my head!

Time kills
Makes no difference
I'm done
(Makes no difference, makes no difference)

(Time takes us all)
So, why am I not just living for today?
Time takes us
Time takes us all
Will I die right now?
It could be seconds away
Time takes us

Time takes us all

General Comment:This is kinda a deep song. Both uplifting and depressing at the same time.
Time is the Ripper. Basically, one things for sure, we all are going to die. As time goes on we move closer to our deaths. And who know when that will be?

    Will I die right now?
    It could be seconds away
    Time takes us

So basically, we should try to live for now.

General Comment:I think it's about how sometimes, time won't ever make you feel better about something.
    'I'm done, makes no difference'
He's not going back to the way it was, but it doesn't stop it from hurting.

    Love the last 'aaalll'
    Gives me goosebumps.

General Comment:I think 'In Love and Death' was their most unique album yet, It had great songs and I love how they all intertwined with each other However, Their first album 'The Used' is amazong because not many bands make it with their first. The Taste of Ink is my all time favorite song by them because it's about their love of making music. . .
Anyways, 'Lies for the Liars' sucks compared to their other albums. Don't get me wrong, I still like it. . .But what made The Used such an awesome band was that they would use things that weren't instruments to make their music. . .they thought outside of the box and put a lot of heart in it. I don't see that on 'Lies for the Liars'. All I hear is voice, guitar, and drums. They say it's their most mature cd yet, but to me it sounds like everything else playing mainstream today. Many of the songs on this album actually reminded me of From First to Last and Aiden. . .The Used are blending in too much with mainstream artists =/

General Comment:i would say bert still screams. but iwouldnt call them hardcore rather than emo. hardcore is supposed to be about politics, like rise against.

but back to the song. the song is about living for the moment, cuz ur gonna die eventually anyway.

General Comment:I don't know I think I have to take a diferent stance on this, hopefully I don't get bashed. I don't think it's about making an impact. I believe it's about giving up. the whole time kills theme reiterates that no matter what you do here on earth you're gonna die and there's nothing you can do to escape that. And I think the whole leave my head line is him telling people not to question his actions or beliefs, in other words if he chooses to live for the moment and just enjoy what he can then leave him alone and let him do that.

General Comment:i would have to agree with b12 and the other guy. a7x is my favorite band and up until now ive always hated the used...way too over rated for ...crying...!now they seem to be a whole new band...even the screaming done on this album is better. 3rd times the charm it seems. A7x and The Used should tour together most def!

but yeah this song sounds sac-religious id agree, but only in the line "time kills...go ask jesus"
he is saying that over time everything gets worse...jesus hanging for 3 days led him to death...such a great metaphor from a newly formed great group of music makers

General Comment:yes the sound has changed with the album, but think this way: would you want to play the same exact songs all the time?

This album is defiantly more calculated, and a little less raw in that sense.

There are, however, some awesome Jams on here.

This song is defiantly about time/life and the impact a person has "I'm done, makes no difference"

I love the beginning of this song and the sound in general
