    General Comment:I think this song is about a girl who feels so completely lost, and as if she is insignificant - she does not matter to anyone. Until of course, at the end, she finally meets someone who understands her and hows she feeling. Meeting them changes her, and makes her finally feel worthwile. I always interpreted it as the singer is the one who meets the girl and makes her feel better about herself :) As for the interpretation of the writing, I took it to mean she was writing it in a diary.

    General Comment:I agree with xrach1807x and GirlsInWhiteDresses but i dont think her problem is anorexia, I think its more deep than that. Every one of these lyrics seems to relate to me, all in different ways. i think its about this girl who is obviously quite depressed because she cant find herself ('a stranger in her skin') but more importantly nobody understands her and accepts the person that she is. She writes all her thoughts and troubles in her diary because she hasnt got anyone to talk to so she can 'ease the pain'. She finds herself looking for someone that would understand and accept her and at the end of the song she does find someone (I dont think its the singer though).

    General Comment:Before I heard the end of the song I thought she was writing in a suicide note, although obviously she's not considering the ending!

    What xrach1807x said is pretty much it I think... not sure about diary or song though, I would say her diary.

    Maybe the person she found is him (as in the writer of the song) and so she tells him about how she felt and all the stuff she wrote (in her diary or whatever), and so he wrote a song about her? Or maybe I'm trying to make it too complicated!

    General Comment:I love this song, I can really relate to it, basically i think it is pretty self explanatory, but theres a girl who feels like she is all alone, no one cares, and no one will accept her for who she is
    and she obviously has a problem she wants to talk about (maybe an eating disorder because alot of people don't understand them)

    And then she finds someone who does accept her and lala happy ending.
    And she writes it all in her diary or in a song?
