Lyrics for Bleed it out as interpreted by Aussiestevo

Bleed it out Lyrics
Yeah here we go for the hundredth time,
Hand grenade pins in every line
Throw 'em up and let something shine
Going out of my fucking mind
Filthy mouth, no excuse
Find a new place to hang this noose
String me up from atop these roofs
Knot it tight so I won't get loose
Truth is you can stop and stare
Bled myself out and no one cares
Dug a trench out, laid down there
With a shovel up out to reach somewhere
Yea someone pour it in,
Make it a dirt dance floor again
Say your prayers and stomp it out
When they bring that chorus in

I bleed it out
Digging deeper just to throw it away
I bleed it out
Digging deeper just to throw it away
I bleed it out
Digging deeper just to throw it away
Just to throw it away
Just to throw it away

I bleed it out
Go, stop the show
Chop your words in a sloppy flow
Shotgun opera, lock and load
Cock it back and then watch it go
Mama help me, I've been cursed
Death is rolling in every verse
Candypaint on his brand new hearse
Can't contain him, he knows he works
Practice hurts, I won't lie
Doesn't matter how hard I try
Half the words don't mean a thing
And I know that I won't be satisfied
So why, try ignoring him
Make your dirt dance floor again
Say your prayers and stomp it out
When they bring that chorus in

I bleed it out
I've opened up these scars
I'll make you face this
I pulled myself so far
I'll make you face this now

best song on the cd hell yeah.

and here we go for the hundredth time
hand grenade pins in every line
throw em up and let somethin' shine
goin' out of my fuckin' mind
filthy mouth no excuse
find a new place to hang this noose
string me up from a trapeze roost
line it tight so i won't get loose
truth is you can stop and stare
grind myself out and no one cares
dug a trench out head down there
with a shovel i'm bound to reach somewhere
yeah someone pour it in
make it a dirt dance floor again
say your prayers and stomp it out
when they bring that chorus in

almost spot on mate, close
go stop the show chopping boards and a sloppy flow
shotgun opera lock and load
cock it back and then watch it go
mama help me
i've been cursed
death is rolling in every verse
candy paint on his brand new hearse
can't contain 'im he knows he works
fuck this hurts
i won't lie
doesn't matter how hard i try
half the words don't mean a thing
and i know that i won't be satisfied
so why try ignoring him
make it a dirt dance floor again
say your prayers and stomp it out
when they bring that chorus in

this is my favorite song off the new album, sounds a lot like their older stuff rather than all this new soft crap like "shadow of the day" theyre putting out on this album. Thank God Mike actually gets to rap in this song tho.

also,
Ill make you faceless
should be
Ill make you face this

For some reason, I actually think this song is a self satire of their own lyrics on previous albums.

"and here we go for the hundredth time"

- A jab at repetitiveness?

"grind myself out and no one cares"

-They express their emotions on their songs and yet critics don't seem to respect them?

"I bleed it out, digging deeper just to throw it away"

- Translation: I put my life in my lyrics, digging deeper, but it's useless?

"doesn't matter how hard I try, half the words don't mean a thing, and I know that I won't be satisfied"

- A similar line ("doesn't even matter how hard you try") from In The End, everything I've written doesn't mean a thing, and I'll never be satisfied?

Better than the first single they put out. I think they released "What I've Done" on the radio first just to grab the attention of the general audience and then played this one just to remind them what Linkin Park has really become.

Maybe it's my sound system in the car, and I only heard it once (forgive me if I'm wrong about it) but it could've sounded heavier second half of the song. When the song ended, I thought to myself, "That's it? Clapping the whole time?" The music itself sounded like it was going nowhere but staying where it was.

Or maybe their mocking all the emo bands that make their money from singing about suicide. If you notice ever rap line is basically a way to kill yourself in this song..

I'm pretty sure the song is about the songwriting process in Linkin Park, and how Mike Shinoda has to go back to these hurtful times in his life again to get inspiration for the lyrics (Dig it deeper, bleed it out), only to bring it back to the band and find out that they thing it isn't quite good enough yet (just to throw it away). So he has to go back and start all over again and go even deeper in, to get something better out, and then make the people and things that inspired it more general so that everyone can relate to the song (make you faceless).

He knows going back to these hard times is the only way to get quality lyrics (Can't contain him, he knows it works.)

I dunno there's about 15 different references in there (I don't feel like explaining them all) that when you look at the song from that perspective, you see that's what it's really about.

"I've opened up these scars
I'll make you face this
i've pulled myself so far
I'll make you face this now!"

To me this song means;

Opening up old (deep) inside scars
Finallly got the guts to trow it in your face
and making 'you' face my feelings now

Great song! Nice to have an up-beat song on the album, it seems like a lot of the other album is slower stuff, which is still good.

Yeah... this song is rather upbeat. But the claps annoy me like hell. I am thinking, still though, that Mike doesn't get as much as he did on the previous albums. As I was sifting through the songs I thought to myself (when I heard this one), "Did they just put this song on here because Mike didn't get to rap enough?" And if so, then that's... stupid.

But he does sing in "In Between".

If anything, I love the chorus of this song. And yeah, it probably does have to do with the songwriting process.

when i heard the hip hop and rap influence on the album was diminished, i was excited. i hate rap adn hip[ hop but could bare it in LP because they are gods. then i heard this song. within seconds i loved it. maybe its because it hails back to their old stuff that was my saviour. also because its not a slow song. who agrees there are too many god damned slow songs on this album!!!! they need to rock out more!!!!
