Lyrics for Get Innocuous as interpreted by indie-YYY

Get Innocuous Lyrics
home - home in the late-night
and away - away in the half-life
except saturday - crushed by the boring
until played and plagued by the tourists again

when once you had believed it
now you see it's sucking you in

to string you along with the pretense
and pave the way for the coming release

alone and prone in the half-light
and late- late to the real-life
if you will find a way into the gold rush
you will stay until the morning comes
you will normalize
don't it make you feel alive

You will normalize! Don't it make you feel alive?
Get Innocuous... like a factory tape player

this song is about the rat race in NYC (knowing Murphy) and its dirty little habit of turning interesting and vibrant people into mindless automatons through the pursuit of wealth status and 2.5 children.

I can't believe there's only two comments on this song!! This is by far my most favorite song on what is an absolutely incredible album!! I just saw them in New York last weekend with Arcade Fire. They opened with this song and it was a-fucking-mazing!!

I've been familiar with some other LCD SS music before, but the first time I heard this was in the GTA4 TV ad in the UK. Good stuff, great groove to it. Similar to some Underworld in the mid 90s, but still unique.

Also, the very end strings remind me greatly of "Lux Aeterna" from the 2001 soundtrack.

right on panda, the GTA4 ad is great and this song compliments it hugely. Lets face it the vocals c.4.10-4.30 that set this puppy up but it's the contrast with the murky, distorted vox and almost industrial track that makes it stand out imo.

The only reason I really bovvered to say anything though is because this is Underworld all over. If you like this song and the sound as a whole you should love everything Underworld has done until Darren Emerson left.

Underworld were amazing but I am from Essex

Anyone else notice how the bassline has been pretty much nicked from Kraftwerk's 'We are the robots'? Great tune though.

Is it just me that hears.. "you Can normalize" as opposed to "will"... ?
I just love how all the songs on this album blend so seamlessly into each other. Love this.
