There's a train leaving town,
If you hurry up I think you just might make it
Dammit I hope you make it
Conscience is a faint, unpleasant sound,
You've worried enough, here's your chance so take it
Dammit I hope you take it
A heart attack is sleeping in your chest, waiting until the timing's best
So make a move, while you're still breathing

Say so long to innocence
From underneath the evidence
You taste like Heaven, but God knows you're built for sin

There's a lie, for every truth,
If you take these pills, I think you just might make it
Dammit I hope you make it
When you were mine, was I for you,
Just one cheap thrill just to help you make it
Dammit I hope you didn't fake it
Hypocrisy has really aged you well
The white on your nose is your secret to tell
So you should speak, while they're still listening

Say so long to innocence
From underneath the evidence
You taste like Heaven, but God knows your built for sin

You can scream out loud
But your panic falls on deaf ears
This is where you've brought yourself
And this is what you've always feared
There's a faceless crowd, with no sympathy
So you can scream out loud
But there's no one listening

Say so long to innocence
From underneath the evidence
You taste like Heaven, but God knows your built for sin

Song Meaning:The ACTUAL meaning of this song IS about drugs. The lead singers (Kenneth Nixon) ex girlfriend used to be addicted to coke hence the "White across your nose" line. They broke up cause of her addiction "When you were mine". She lied to everyone about it this explains the line "Say so long to innocents from underneath the evidence"

This is the actual meaning of the song. He said it in an interview.

General Comment:I belive this song is about a girl who addicted to drugs(coke,ex). She feels alone because her secret came out, her ex tryed to help her and she wouldnt let him and know one will listen to her with no sympathy. She cant stop and she needs help and know one isnt helping her get in the right path.

General Comment:She is starting to lose him, and he wants her to realize that, even though he doesn't think she'll even care. He knows she is fragile even though she thinks she is strong and doesn't think she needs anybody. She uses people and doesn't care, as long as they are there to use because then she doesn't have to feel anything. The innocence was lost because she realized what she was doing and chose to keep doing it anyways. He pleads with her to be open to love, to allow it in before her pain kills any chance, before it is too late, before everyone turn their backs on her. He hopes so much the what they had was real, that he wasn't just another pawn, but in the end, he realizes all she cares about is silencing the pain. But when everyone is gone, the pain is still there, and it doesn't matter how hard she tries to bury it, it doesn't matter what drugs she takes or how many people she steps on. It doesn't matter how loud her silent screams are, nobody hears and nobody cares because she has misused every last one.

General Comment:Probably my favorite song from Framing Hanley, but anyways, I think this is about drug addiction, which everyone keeps on saying...

This song also reminds me of my mom.. She doesn't do drugs but she does drink alot and it keeps on getting in the way of my life, we've tried getting her help, but she just wont get it.

    I'm tired of her BS.

I know no one probably wont read this but I feel better posting it anyway.

My Opinion:this is a great song, and my favorite by framing hanely. my thought on it is someone (whether it be female or male) with a drug addiction, my best guess is cocaine because of the line "the white on your nose is your secret to tell". this person with the addiction is on their last straw and need to get help while they still have the chance, and this person is loved very much and is wanted to get better. "you taste like heaven, but god knows you're built for sin." everyone knows what damage cocaine can do to someone, even users. but many people addicted to cocain just want that feeling of euphoria and ignore consequences. this person in the song, their innocense was taken from them by the use of cocain and as said before is probably selling their body to get the drug. "this is what you've always feared. there's a faceless crowd with no sympathy, you can scream outloud, but there's no one listening.. this person may have seen what drug addiction can do to someone, and now they are wrapped up in it. people have tried to reach out to this person and all help has been ignored. this person's drug addiction has possibly ruined many relationships whether it be family friends or significant others. just my thoughts :)

General Comment:This song could possibly tell the story of a person who is considering suicide and a friend or loved one is trying to intervene and stop this person from killing themself.

There's a train leaving town, If you hurry up I think you just might make it
Dammit I hope you make it
Having second thoughts about going through with suicide or someone who knows what the person plans on doing and has the opportunity to stop them - if they take action before it's too late.

Conscience is a faint, unpleasant sound, You've worried enough, here's your chance so take it
Dammit I hope you take it
The person is constantly thinking about how their death may affect family and friends and how he/she may still have chance to stop and go on living life.

    Say so long to innocence
    From underneath the evidence
You taste like Heaven, but God knows you're built for sin
"Say so long to innocence",Bidding farewell to all the people he or she knows and loves. "From Underneath the Evidence", could possibly be a note he/she leaves behind before killing themself. "You taste like heaven, but God knows you're built for sin", the person may look fine and behave normally on the outside, but may be suffering and struggling on the inside.

There's a lie, for every truth, If you take these pills, I think you just might make it
Dammit I hope you make it
Friends and family members become suspicious of the suicidal person and question them. He/she lies and tells them that everything is fine. The parents, friends,or boyfriend/girlfriend encourages him/her to see a psychiatrist and is prescribed antideppressants to combat the emotions they feel. Everyone beleives this will make everything better, but things only get worse.

When you were mine, was I for you, Just one cheap thrill just to help you make it
Dammit I hope you didn't fake it
Things are rocky with the persons girlfriend/boyfriend. His/her significant other questions wether they were only meant as someone to lean on and ask for help or if it was meant to be a serious and reliable relationship. His/Her girlfriend/boyfriend eventually breaks up with him/her.

Hypocrisy has really aged you well
The white on your nose is your secret to tell
So you should speak, while they're still listening

The suicidal person claims he/she would never think about killing themself and the constant pressure of keeping up their facade is really beginning to wear him/her out. "The white on your nose is your secret to tell", the suicidal person is keeping their plan secret and is debating wether or not if he/she should tell someone before its to late.

    You can scream out loud
But your panic falls on deaf ears
This is where you've brought yourself
And this is what you've always feared
There's a faceless crowd, with no sympathy
So you can scream out loud
    But there's no one listening

The person finally goes through with the suicide attempt but changes their mind once it is too late. the line, "But your panic falls on deaf ears" could mean that the person committed suicide by drowining themself and screaming for help while underwater or the person is struggling to escape the noose around their neck if they were to die by hanging.
"This is where you've brought yourself",your death is your own fault.
"And this is what you've always feared", he/she has always been afraid of death.
"There's a faceless crowd, with no sympathy", The world has no sympathy for you and your death. You should have saved yourself when you had the chance.
"So you can scream out loud; But there's no one listening",You can struggle, plead for help, and try to escape, but it's too late.

General Comment:I also just thought of another meaning. He may be trying to overdose someone on drugs.
"There's a train leaving town, If you hurry up I think you just might make it
Dammit I hope you make it"

I was thinking, death is often refered to as 'the long black train' or the 'black train'
Maybe he's saying "Hurry up and die, I hope you make the death train" I know that sounds horrible, but that's another view on it.

General Comment:I'm not a master song decoder, but I'll give it a try.

"There's a train leaving town, If you hurry up I think you just might make it
Dammit I hope you make it"

Hmm, maybe he's talking about help, because I'm sure this song is about a drug addict. Maybe the help they need isn't going to be there forever, and he's hoping they'll take advantage while they can.

"Conscience is a faint, unpleasant sound, You've worried enough, here's your chance so take it
Dammit I hope you take it"

Like, they were always worried about their conscience. They were always worried about having that giulty feeling. Now, he's saying take whatever, don't worry about it.

"A heart attack is sleeping in your chest, waiting until the timing's best
So make a move, while you're still breathing"

I honestly have very little clue by what he means here. Maybe it's something will happen to you if you don't make the move to get help?

    "Say so long to innocence
    From underneath the evidence
You taste like Heaven, but God knows you're built for sin"

As a drug addict, you lose your innocence. and, 'You taste like Heaven but God knows your built for sin'
He's saying she looks so good and innocent, but god knows she's a drug addict, a liar, etc.

"There's a lie, for every truth, If you take these pills, I think you just might make it
Dammit I hope you make it"

Maybe he's tempting her to take drugs? Maybe he's the one who got her into drugs.

"When you were mine, was I for you, Just one cheap thrill just to help you make it
Dammit I hope you didn't fake it"

He's thinking that maybe he was ment to be a one night stand and not anything special. That maybe she fakes it when she says she wanted something more.

"Hypocrisy has really aged you well
The white on your nose is your secret to tell
So you should speak, while they're still listening"

He's saying that she always said she'd never get into drugs, she wouldn't do it, only horrid people do. Now look, she has the 'white on her nose' he's keeping her secret, but he's waiting for her to share it with everyone else. He's saying "Tell them now before they turn their back on you"

    "You can scream out loud
But your panic falls on deaf ears
This is where you've brought yourself
And this is what you've always feared
There's a faceless crowd, with no sympathy
So you can scream out loud
    But there's no one listening"

She's waited too long to tell them, and they've stopped caring. They have no sympathy for her because she let herself get that way, she didn't get help while she could. It's what she's always feared- for everyone to turn their back and not listen.

I may be soo wrong about this, but thisis how I see it.

Song Meaning:Kenneth Nixon (lead Vcals) knew somebody who was on drugs – actually in a real passionate relationship that he was in – and this song is about that. One of the lines in particular – “The white on your nose is your secret to tell.” A girlfriend of his was on cocaine and that basically was the reason their relationship failed and he didn’t want to deal with that anymore. She tried to keep it a lie to everyone and it seemed like she was straight. But she realy wasen't.
