Finally the boys are back.

It's definitely about a much better than your typical relationship. I don't think this would be about falling in love the first time since it's like it....

This would be later on when something hits you or something, maybe it's when you are trying to remember exactly why and then you realize everything the you and that person went through. And although it feels confusing sometimes, it still feels like home.

This has nothing to do with religion even the slightest way contrary to what some joe schmo might say in a future comment. lol

None the less it's an amazingly written song.

At first, I thought this was a typical song referencing love--til I listened to it a few more times.
I think it's actually about some sort of a salvation experience. He says it's, "Like being in love with you for the first time." If he were only talking about being in love he wouldn't say it was "LIKE being in love". Alot of Lifehouse songs have underlying spiritual meanings, kind of like a double entender.

well in a way, i agree with poolka..it does have an underlying meaning. but i also feel it's about love. maybe it's about his love for Christ..not for a girl. or maybe it's about both..who really knows.

i think hes falling in love with this latest girl he met.
hes scared to death because hes letting someone see his tru self. i think hes been hurt a lot so he hasnt been in a relationship in a while. and it feels so good it feels like hte first time he ever fell in love.

this would be so much cuter if he wasn't married for 6 years already. it'd be a lot more believable. but, it's an amazing song. great lyrics without being incredibly abstract. you guys should catch them live (or just youtube it). thats actually where i heard this first, it sounds a lot better than the CD version, less pop, more rock. watch their NISSAN performance.

Sort of means to me that he's taking the chance for something he's wanted for a long time.

It's not really about realizing "love" or the "desire" to be with someone or something in that sense, but it's just about being courageous enough to be able to risk it all. It's about being able to tell the person you seem to like so much, that you want them, and even more than that, that you need them..

Maybe the hardest part about this is just that its an ex, or a best friend..

it's really a good song.

This is one of those songs you want to play continuously.
I think the lyrics speak for themselves - there's nothing too hidden behind it all.
I hope everybody gets this feeling at least once in their life. Incredible.

This song is amazing live; it's good on the CD too, but much better raw and uncut. It's a shame though, i think they could've done more with the video. I like how they usually have a story, this time they settled for the generic band in a room thing.

But, I've just been so paranoid and afraid to move on, in case I get hurt badly-just like I did with my last relationship. Jason Wade has said many times that this song was written about "a special person" and has admitted that it's about his wife.

I'm not really sure why it's "like being in love", but I'm guess it's because it's that point where you think it's love, and you trying to figure out, is this it? Because you're so young that you're not sure what that feeling it.

I think I just figured this song out, looking at the lyrics here.
I mean, I knew what it meant, of course. "Love for the first time"
But...my best friend, Ship, who I've loved unrequitedly for about a year, practically forced me to buy this song. Maybe..maybe there's an underlying meaning in his forcing me to buy this song, maybe he's starting to like me the way I love him...

I like this song, i just got the new album yesterday and it is great.

As for the meaning I might be wrong, but for some reason I think it means the he is falling in love with a new person but for some reason it feels like the first time he's being in love.

the instant I heard this song I somehow connected it to my life because I fell in love for the first time but that girl broke my heart. Now one year later I re-met a girl that I hadn't seen in almost 14 years, and it felt like being in love again for the first time.
