Lyrics for Men's Needs as interpreted by em_fatale

Men's Needs Lyrics
have you noticed i've never been impressed
by your friends from new york and london
i'll level accusations like the press
until you realise that you've dressed yourself in tatters

because the man's needs
man's needs
are full of greed
full of greed
a man's needs
man's needs
are lost on me

a man's needs
man's needs
are full of greed
full of greed
a man's needs

i'm not bothered
what you say or how you dress
i'm a mess so you've always seemed inviting
but really
this all seems quite meaningless and i remember
that you never seem to see

the fact that man's needs
man's needs
are full of greed
full of greed
a man's needs
man's needs
are lost on me

a girl's needs
girl's needs
just don't agree
don't agree
with man's needs

have you noticed i've never been impressed by your friends from new york and london?
but really this all seems quite meaningless and i remember
that you never seem to see

the excuse that man's needs
man's needs
are full of greed
full of greed
a man's needs
man's needs
are lost on me

you say your man's needs
man's needs
have lots on me
i don't agree
a man's needs
oh oh oh oh

The disagreement of a man's stereotypical desires in a relationship and how women sometimes manipulate it?...i also agree with "tune" tis. x

gotta be huge soon, the cribs roll and rock at the same time. this song is probably about how natural instinct will always overide fashion, like if you see a girl wearing massive sunglasses that cover half her head. it won't make any difference to how much you fancy her.. if she is nice, she could could wear a teletubby outfit and you would ;p

What a ridiculous statement. I'm English (as if it matters), and can confirm it is "found on greed" as heard from Gary himself (one particular source alone is on Xfm.co.uk where The Cribs talk through each track one by one and explain what was behind it).

With my eyes it is hard to read the lyrics off the album cover but a magnifying glass later and it certainly says found not full - so Jonaz you were saying?

i like it how the comments have stopped being about the song but instead about jonaz.

also who cares what the acctual lyrics are, music is up to interpretation of the individual.

stop being pretentious and enjoy the song

This is song is criticizing "lad culture"- how bands these days just play so they can have thousands of teenage girls worshiping them, and how they always try and be the best looking and most dominant. The cribs are pretty much saying they don't understand why people feel the need to indulge in this kinda behavior- "a man's needs, man's needs, are lost on me..."

"and i remember
that you never seem to see" is actually
"When I remember that you never seem to see"

"the excuse that man's needs" is "the fact that men's needs"

"and the last chorus isnt
you say your man's needs
man's needs
have lots on me
i don't agree
a man's needs
oh oh oh oh"

its

"You say a man's needs, man's needs
Apply to me, I don't agree
With a man's needs
oh oh oh oh"

the way i see it, one of the boys has had a hard run with women and is resorting to blaming the difference in needs between men and women in a relationship, women want sharing and communication and men 'are greedy' (probably what the song writer has been told by many women in his failed relationships?'

this song also signifies a turn in attitude, the guy gives up on trying to impress, he was never impressed by the chicks anyway.

probably could have re worded my ideas a little better but yeah thats my view :) sweeet song

Oh, yeah, By the way, this is a cover of a Kate Nash song. It's actually written from a woman's perspective but it works both ways.

I was thinking Kate Bush and this song was written a long time ago. I was wrong, Kate Nash covers the Cribs. I don't know what I was thinking.
