and if i get the choice ect...: if he was actually there for her and say she had a good father she would be happy as in "oh happy day"
So the very first time I heard this I thought it was about a dad sexually abusing his daughter but after hearing the line "He had your hands and my father's face" recently, I reconsidered.
I now think it's about a girl who got molested by her older brother who was a bastard child. Her mom and dad stayed together after the fact but their marriage was basically ruined. They then had the daughter, who was abused by him, the dad died, and now she's letting everything go.
