    General Comment:This song is the first one I ever heard by her. A few years back she did an interview with NPR and explained this song; it is about her brother, but not the whole alcoholic thing. She said, like, her brother was extremely talented (kind of like Brandi, his sister) but he didn't try to go big and use his gifts 'the right way' but instead just became involved with his church as a worship leader. She was kind of almost bitter about it, when she wrote it, she said. But, in the interview, she says the song does not apply anymore, and her views on her brother have changed, and he's actually fine and she's happy that he's happy.

    That's a brief, abstract summary of what she said. Lol, I fell in love with her voice that day, then found out who she was. Amazing artist.

    General Comment:At a concert I went to she said this was a song she wrote about her brother, who she obviously loves very much but, was pretty angry with him at the time she wrote it.

    General Comment:Have you ever met someone.. he's a good man but a stubborn man. He doesn't know how to appreciate the quality in his life. And you stand before him and offer the best you can. But he foolishly rebuffs it, and you can tell that he wants it but doesn't know, hasn't been taught, how to take care of a good love. He makes it through life in what seems to be a smooth ride, but you know that he is suffering the greatest of all because he's wasting the most genuine gift in the world: the love of another.
