    My Interpretation:I belive this guy wanted to end the relationship because he knew things had changed and it was time to move on. however, he regrets ending it so badly and wont admit he still cares about her so instead hes going to care for her and not let her know.

    the first verse i have a hard time understanding... i think he means she was his first real relationship but needs to get out and see what hes capable of... heck lol idk.

    General Comment:Ive seen them live 4 times and they played this song each time and it gave me butterflies every time. Especially when I saw them perform acoustic twice...its beautiful.

    General Comment:I think the song is basically saying that it's not always easy to be in love, but even if it isn't easy, that doesn't mean that you're not in love and part of being together is overcoming things together. like when it says:

    General Comment:I think it is about missing a relationship with someone, but maybe the girl died? Because i'm all into subliminal messages and i wanted to listen to it backwards so i could watch the video forwards and it sounds like he's saying everyone wants you back and there was one other line that gave the impression that the person may have passed but i dont remember it.

    But it's more than just the ending of a relationship. It's about remembering everything
    that they shared together before they broke up, and the pain of still being in love with
    them. The line "I'm no gentleman, I can be a prick, and I do regret more than I admit" to
    me is him saying, I know I'm not perfect, and I make mistakes, but I don't want to dwell
    on them. "I'll be with you where ever you go" to me is him saying, no matter what happens,
    a part of me will always love you.

    Truly and amazing song. Very well written.
