Think of me as programmable soda
Too much cherry?
Baby then you can just add cola
Think of me as programmable soda

'Cause you can
can be a cruel fella
So okay, then I just back off
the vanilla

Think of me as programmable soda
'cause I've come
I've come to accept that
for lovelies you are a fanatic
But I can't
I can't let that throw me
into a genital panic

Think of me as programmable soda
Too much cherry?
Baby then you can just add cola
Think of me as programmable soda
When you think
and boy when you drink
when you think of me.

General Comment:Tori told in an interview that her husband really liked the different wigs that came with the different personae of this album. I think that she is singing how she can be more then one kind of girl for him.

Also the part with the cruell fella and she will back off the vanilla is a reference to bdsm (where the term vanilla is used to describe regular sex). She has a lot of bdsm references in her songs, so that is very much in style.

General Comment:Cola is addicting, sweet, and tasty so its a perfect metaphor for a girl who is submissive and will do anything for whomever. I wonder who is the actual girl in this case? Makes me want to analyze the entire album. Now Body and Soul is referencing the Priests and their celibacy, etc. obviously but how does that tie in with this? There's something scandalous and sinful about this album.

General Comment:i think the song is about the type of girl who will be what a man wants! everyone loves soda and everyone has thier favourites. but the girl is saying "well i am whatever soda you want! make me the way you want and you'll enjoy". and once she ends the relationship she'll return to neutral and change for the next man in her life! she is what YOU want

General Comment:Yes, I agree, but I think there's more of an emphasis on gender.

    "genital panic"

Feminism/masculism as traits rather than categories...and she's lost somewhere in between.

General Comment:I believe the song is about how she can change herself to suit his needs without losing her true essence.

She can add and remove some of her 'flavouring,' yet she is still 'soda' underneath. She realises that while she is molding herself to be more lovable in the eyes of her lover, she will not change herself into something she isn't.

General Comment:Consider comparing these lyrics and comments with "Code Red" which comes right after this on the disc. Code Red is a brand name of soda...
