For a second there I thought you disappeared
It rains a lot this time of year
And we both go together if one falls down
I talk out loud like you're still around, no no

And I miss you
I'm goin' back home to the west coast
I wish you woulda put yourself in my suitcase

I love you
Standin' all alone in a black coat

I miss you
I'm goin' back home to the west coast

And if you shake her heart enough she will appear
Tonight I think I'll be stayin' here
And you never did like this town
I talk out loud like you're still around, no no

And I miss you
I'm goin' back home to the west coast
I wish you woulda put yourself in my suitcase

I love you
Standin' all alone in a black coat

I miss you
I'm goin' back home to the west coast

(Come on everybody)

Lalalala, lalalala
Lalalala, lalalala

So pack up the bags to beat back the clock
Do I let her sleep or should I wake her up
You said, we both go together if one falls down
Yeah right, heh
I talk out loud like you're still around, no no

And I miss you
I m goin' back home to the west coast
I wish you woulda put yourself in my suitcase

I love you
Standin' all alone in a black coat

I miss you
I'm goin' back home to the west coast

(Lalalala, lalalala)
I'm goin' back home to the west coast

(Lalalala, lalalala)
I'm goin' back home to the west coast

Lalalala
Lalalala

i like that he says 'i wish you would put yourself in my suitcase" instead of i wish i could put you in my suitcase....he knows its up to them to want to come and lets them make the decision. very much how it should be...i think most, including me, be more demanding...or agressive...by saying i wish i could put you in my suitcase...seems like a dude whos got it understood

"I talk out loud like you're still around" May be of the most heartwrenching lines I've ever heard.. I love Coconut Records!!

I never would have thought that Jason Schwartzman would put out music, but he did and I love it! It is calm in a fun way (if that makes sense). This is my favorite of the songs because I absolutley love the West Coast! I think that this song is pretty straight forward though. He has been away from his home and his girlfriend for a really long time (probably filming a movie) and is ready to go home, he is preparing to go back into her arms. And then the song transfers a little bit to when he is home and is getting ready to leave which is why he wrote, "I wish you woulda put yourself in my suitcase" The simplicity of the song is what makes it so amazing, I sing it all day long!

This song has the perfect amount of good beats, and indie taste. It seems like he put alot of thought into this, i hope the rest of the album is just as gooood.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
