Where's your respect?
Where's your respect?
Why bite the hand that feeds you?

Its not over yet,
Not over yet,
Plenty more fingers for you to nibble,
I'd like to see you get your teeth round this,
I'm sure your jaw will surely be missed.

Not even salt can make your hnads taste good,
I'm still crunching your lifeline

You do this every fucking time,
No sweat
No tears
No guilt
Blood fills your palms

General Comment:Okay, I'm not UTD on the whole album meaning and stuff, so here's my interpretation of the song, based from what I see and other ppl's opinion. I agree with this song is about our generation and ones of the past. Here's a piece by piece breakdown of the meaning, to me:
"Where's your respect... hand that feeds you" This part is basically what the past generation is telling us, the whole 'We are your elders, we fed you from our palm (or baby spoon, whatever). You need to respect us always, why are you biting back?'
Then they continue to taunt us, with "It's not over yet... surely be missed", basically saying 'You really wanna keep doing this? Keep this up and we'll take off your jaw!'
Our response? "Not even salt can make your hands taste good. I'm still crunching your lifeline." or "Please, we wouldn't bite back; your hands (not literally) are disgusting! We are going straight for your heart, cuz you relentlessly attack our generation!"
"You do this... no guilt" is a continuation of our response. They keep up the attack, and they keep thinking we are lesser than them.
"Blood fills your palms" We finally get pissed enough to retaliate.

Not sure about that, but it's late and the best I could come up with. Constructive criticism would be appreciated.

    General Comment:Aahhhhhh awesome song...

I think, following the storyline of the Album, this is about Humans destroying our planet. What with pollution and emissions and shit...

I think it could be from the PoV of Mother Nature. Humans are on this planet and we're using up all the resources given to us.

I think the 'I'm sure your jaw will sorely be missed' is from Mother Nature itself. I mean, she could devolve Humans so that we have no jaws. I think that's what is meant with 'I'll bite your fucking fingers off' as well.. We use our hands to take, so its only right for them to be removed via evolution.

This could also be from the Aliens (taking the storyline of the album into it).. I mean there are hints that the alien invaders are the original 'keepers' of the planet.. That's why they're invading again - to take it back.

General Comment:The last part of the song isnt "blood fills your palms" its "do this one more time and I'll bite your fucking fingers off". Just saw them live it was worth getting lost in Brixton and not getting home till 3.15am :)
