If you are the cloud, then i am the snow
If you are the rain, then i will not grow
All of the asperity you have sewn

If you are the voice inside of my head
That's fine with me
I'll turn down the bed
You cannot control me from the other side
No, you will not control me from the other side

Here we are again, love
Here we go again
By your side i can't pretend anymore
Now everything starts where it ends

When nobody wants you in their life
When nobody wants you in their life
When nobody wants you in their life
It's alright, it's gonna be alright

Do you feel what i feel coming?
All the oxen freed us now
Hiding in the tree life, kids come out at dusk light
Don't go home, it's tip toe time

All these threes are my trees
All these dreams are my dreams
Cool it Mr. Ice Cream sun!
Now cool it Mr. Ice Cream.

Here we are again, love
Here we go again
By your side i can't pretend anymore
Now everything starts where it ends

Do you feel what i feel?
Our heart is slowing down
No one will love what you love to defend
It all will start where it ends

Now do you see what i see?
Your calm is breaking the sound
Do not fear what i fear to pretend
All this will start where it ends

Wake up, you're alive
We're on your side
Wake up, you're alive
We're on your side
Wake up, you're alive
We're on your side
Wake up, you're alive

Here we are again, love
Here we go again
By your side i can't pretend anymore
Now everything starts where it ends

My Interpretation:I see this song as meaning that a fresh start happens when you've hit rock bottom. And even if you think no one loves you, you're most likely blind to the people that do. In the end, if you're a part of this world, you've got a reason to live.

Also, the person above me made me laugh. But he's right, I'd like to know too.

My Interpretation:ok, so the first two paragraphs are talking about depression. you know when people are depressed and they have this "voice" inside their heads that they have to fight against all the time...so basically the guy is saying that no matter how hard the voice will shout, he'll still try to ignore it. The third verse, "when nobody wants you in their lives" is simply the guy explaining that when you're depressed you feel all alone in the world but it is still going to be alright if you fight against the feeling. The next two verses are simply the guy exaplaining to his inside voice that no matter how much it tries to stop him from dreaming and achieving, he still will continue to fight against it. Mr. Icecream sun is simply him saying that people who are usually cold on the outside are actually really really warm hearted. The next part of the song is the guy himself that people are going to disagree with him and its fine as long as you keep your mouth shut and don't start fights "no one will love what you love to defend" this simply means that no matter how hard you try, you will not be able to change that other person's opinion or views. "It all will start where it ends" simply means that fights are gonna end up getting you nowhere because neither side will give in. The next part of the song, says that it is better to keep quiet because it avoids fights. The last part of the song (the most beautiful part) is simply the guy telling himself to wake up and look at how beautiful the world is. He is also telling himself that he is not alone. Finally, the chorus ties the whole song together. If you guys haven't realized yet, when people are depressed they tend to be more emotional and very argumentative. So this song is all about depression.

General Comment:He sounds exactly like the singer from The Fray when he says everything starts where it ends. i almost thought it was the fray when i first heard it. anyways, this is my favorite song right now its just incredible, musically and lyrically. to me, this song is talking about someone who was in love with someone who died and they are just learning that it is ok to move on and love again. i'm sure it can translate differently to different people.

General Comment:This is one of those song that can fit any situation anybody's going through. I've always seen pieces of it as referencing depression or some kind of mental illness"

"You cannot control me from the other side"
-The sufferer facing their problem head-on, trying to fight it and refusing to let it get him.

"When nobody wants you in their life...it's alright, it's gonna be alright"
-People on those situations often feel like the people they care about are abandoning them. This one's pretty obvious.
That whole next verse I think is telling the person that there's good in even the hardest and darkest situations if you can hold on

"Wake up, you're alive. We're on your side"
-I've always thought this is the most beautiful part of the entire song. To me, it's always implied so much more than words could ever say. I feel like the singer is trying to relate the endless beauty and possibility of the world, and is trying to get the person in question to "wake up" and see what's possible. I want to get that line tattooed on my wrist

General Comment:In all honesty, i think its a very well put song, with a very well hidden meaning.

What i get from it is simple. A break up (the end)
    then reuniting (Starting)
so like when him and her fell in love it all began, it "started"
then they eventually broke up, he felt like no one wanted to be a part of his life, and felt extremly dipressed ect. and was possibly angry about what had happened. Then

"here we are agian" They meet again "love" they fall back in love
and if you think of it that way..

    the lines

"every thing starts where it ends" makes sense

him stating that they loved eachother broke up then reunited once agian to only fall in love agian.

the part about him not pretending may be because he was pretending not to love her while they were apart, but when they reunite he cant pretend no more..

i unno possibly VERY wrong, but it makes sense to me cause it is what im going threw now.
