I see your heart beat through the bedsheet
I feel your pulse against the floor
I sleep the sadness that no-one else sleeps
Feel me cunningly adore
As the tick-tock clock lies Goldilocks
What a sick enchanted view
Of the white blot sin that we all begin
Not the girl that I once knew
Blue sunshine
I've got no vacancies
At the top of the clock was Jesus spying on me
I spoke of friends
Point me which direction
I tried a bribe of when I died
But swore he mentioned
I kicked and screamed
It's simple, you must sing
The day I take you, you'll be sleeping
You won't feel a thing
A thing
I feel your pulse against the floor
I sleep the sadness that no-one else sleeps
Feel me cunningly adore
As the tick-tock clock lies Goldilocks
What a sick enchanted view
Of the white blot sin that we all begin
Not the girl that I once knew
Blue sunshine
I've got no vacancies
At the top of the clock was Jesus spying on me
I spoke of friends
Point me which direction
I tried a bribe of when I died
But swore he mentioned
I kicked and screamed
It's simple, you must sing
The day I take you, you'll be sleeping
You won't feel a thing
A thing

Blue Sunshine: "First time I dropped a tab of acid. I watched my girlfriend sleep the whole night."

They started playing this song again at the end of the tour in 2004 and Justin would explain a little about the song before they would play it.
The story behind the song takes place one night while Justin and Ryan were in high school. They were young, like 14 years old. They were hanging out with a couple of girls, and got ahold of some acid. They spent the night at one of the girls' homes and tripped on acid. The girl's parents were home and made Justin and Ryan sleep in the living room downstairs while the girls slept upstairs.
The beginning of the song (I see your heart beat through the bedsheet, I feel your pulse against the floor. I sleep the sadness that no one else sleeps, can you feel me cunningly adore?) expresses Justin's longing for the girl as they slept on different floors in the same house.

Blue Sunshine is actually a direct reference to the blotter. It's also a movie from the 70's where accoriding to wiki "a group of college kids have taken a new form of LSD called "Blue Sunshine," which causes its users to lose their hair and become insane and homicidal."
