The translation above is close, but a couple of mistakes.

Second verse is "I want to go to a fun place, The two of us in love, But you aren't around"

And the final verse "Why do you want to disappear? (i.e. suicide) Why are you running away? Why why why? Even though I love you, love you, love you.

あの雲を見てる I can see that cloud 小鳥が飛んでる the little bird flies away 嬉しいけど、君は私が嫌い (I’m) happy even though you don’t like me

二人で恋して the two of us are infatuated 楽しい所へ行きたいけど (I) want to go to that enjoyable place 君はどこにもいない You aren’t there

なぜ消えたいの why do you want to disappear 君は逃げてるの why are you escaping なぜなぜ、どうして why, why, why 君が大好き、大好き、大好き I really love you, really love you, love you 好きなのに and yet I love you

Would anyone be willing to translate this? I only recognize a few words and am even less familiar with the grammar. I'm not able to find most of these words in a Romaji dictionary which leads me to believe that either some of it is slang or altered by special rules within the language...

I'm not proficient in Japanese yet but I'm studying it at uni... This is my interpretation of the lyrics. I know they're not perfectly accurate but they're not too bad. Feel free to fix them!!

'I see that cloud A small bird flies away I'm happy but you don't like me.

I am in love with two people. I want to go to an pleasant place but You're not anywhere.

Why do I want to disappear? You are running away. Why? Why? Why? I love you, love, love...

I'm not sure about 'sukina noni'. Sukina means 'I like' and 'noni' generally means 'although', but here it may be an idiosyncratic Japanese ending like 'yo' or 'ne'... I couldn't say, really...

Lovely song though, tinged with sadness. Unrequited love, I think.

    My Interpretation

why do i get the feeling she is on e? "that happy place" = the high "why are you escaping"= come down ?? :-\ just a thought. especially since the feeling many get is love, but often as one may come down, they may realize its not love... so maybe she is still in the effects and wondering why he wont love her back.

    just a thought.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
