Haha yeah, I have absolutely no life. I want to do the whole album cause some peoples' formats annoy me, like when they never capitalize anything or do blocks of text. It's really hard to read.

Alexithymia is a human condition that involves the inability to express emotions. I'm guessing that not expressing anything is what the course is talking about.

I think it'sjust about slowly "over time" falling into isolation and sadness, which, can make it difficult to express emotions. Just not being satisfied ("are you really where you wanted to be") and trying to get your message across, yet no one listens. and that whole "there is more to living than being alive", coincidentally, i can't express the emotions i tie to this. it's so true when you don't feel like waking up anymore, no matter what, you just have no motivation to live or look up anymore. hence: down cast eyes...stephen did an amazing job articulating feelings that can't be easily expressed.

Trust me, this is Alexithymia. The chorus of Reclusion goes... "You're sick, sick as all the secrets that you deny..." If that helps you rename your songs.

Yeah, I got it from iTunes as well, and i had to switch the names of "Alexithymia" and "Reclusion". Also, they spelled "Adelaide" wrong.

Conversate is NOT a word. People say it colloquially, but the right word is actually "converse". Just felt the need to clear that up. =P

I dig these lyrics, man. I like the dismantled's interpretation. I think its about going through a time in your life when you just feel like all you're doing with your life is staying alive, day after day, and never getting anywhere.

Addition to that... I think maybe the second verse suggests he feels that was because a girl left him, or maybe just someone hurt him. As a result, he feels like he's not living for anything anymore, and all he's doing is waiting for the next day, all the time.

This is the best Anberlin song lyrically, and they've had some impressive stuff.

This definetly is a great way to express his life perspective... I don't that I have ever agreed with a lyric more than "There's more to living than being alive."

I hope Cities guarantees Anberlin will be around for a while, they are a step above their peers in depth of music exploration. Yes it is punk-pop-scene-rock, but they are taking chances and exploring things their peers are afraid to touch.

Probably some of the most impactful and meaningful lyrics I've heard to date. Makes me think about my own life and if I'm living it the right way or am I just being alive? Yeah.

I think this song is trying to convey more than just " There is more to living than being alive"...I think he is talking about a relationship that has fallen apart..and he is sick of just going through the motions. Nothin is the same anymore. He has a hard time expressing himself after going through such a hard trial, but realized there is more to life than looking at it with downcast view point.
