  General Comment:Yes. I think being a big girl is a bit intimidating. When I walk in to a shop like New Look or Jack Wills, I feel so big! Everyone there is so petite and especially when I have to ask the shop assistant for a size 10 when I'm only 12 years old does feel embarrassing!
  
  But when I first heard this song, I kinda realised that someday, someone, might love me. They might take my hand and ask me out. When I was little, I used to fantasize about being a princess one day and a prince Charming will propose to me. And in year 2 we had to make up a play about Sleeping Beauty. I wanted to be Sleeping Beauty but all the pretty, slim, beautiful girls stepped in. Now I'm not saying that all pretty, slim, beautiful girls are horrid and steal my dreams, but as I said before, it is kinda intimidating! Then from then on, I noticed that all the guys I fancied/fancy would not in a million years go out with me because I'm "big".
  
  I feel MIKA is just trying to put it out there, that any girl, whether large or skinny, can have a love one day and hopefully forever!

  General Comment:I think, what this song is really saying is just that people who are naturally bigger boned should accept themselves. I didn't really get that he was condemning skinny people, I read it more like this:
  
  "Walks into the room, feels like a big balloon"
  I think what that's saying is that bigger girls often do walk into a room and they feel like they stand out and are self-conscious about their weight and feel bad about themselves. He follows it up by saying "Big girl, you are beautiful" like a vote of confidence, saying "you don't need to be so worried, you're beautiful as you are"
  And with the diet coke thing, I think he's trying to say that people try to use diet drinks as a way to lose weight and such, also about putting themselves down when they shouldn't have to.
  
  This song isn't about fat girls being superior, it doesn't advocate being overweight or obese, but what I get from this is that people have to be happy in their own skin, a girl is most beautiful when she;s confident and happy, regardless of her weight. I just hear him telling girls to live naturaly and not be afraid to be who they are.
  Some girls are curvy and some are flat, and we all just have to love ourselves as we are.

  General Comment:i agree with everyone who commends mika for supporting bigger sized girls
  but i hate it when people are like "girls shouldn't be stick thin"
  im naturally thin with no curves- it's not because i starve myself, it's just my metabolism
  so it doesn't really make ME feel good about my body
  ALL body types should be celebrated imho.
  and this is a great song btw :)
