Slither to sea, speakin' in tongues
Deft as a surgeon's knife, carvin' through bone

Pregnant with doubt, you figured out
Tricks of the trade to make whispers shout
Mouth full of sweets rotten your teeth
Lift up the rug and sweep it underneath

You were dreaming
When you don't believe

Pregnant with doubt, you figured out
Tricks of the trade to make whispers shout
Mouth full of sweets rotten your teeth
Lift up the rug and sweep it underneath

You were dreaming
When you don't believe

Slither to sea, speakin' in tongues
Deft as a surgeon's knife, carvin' through bone

General Comment:I love this song, it's one of my favorites by the CWK. I think it's about a couple, maybe who were originally brought together by their religious beliefs, but now the wife is beginning to lose her faith. And her doubt has taken on a life of its own in the way that it's come between them, so it is like she is "pregnant with doubt". The lyrics make sense with this interpretation, the song could be about anything though, and I can't explain the muffled voice in the background. Sounds like the loudspeaker in a hospital.

Song Meaning:I think this song is about a woman who did not tell her husband or boyfriend that she was pregnant, and she hid it. But when she had the baby, he found out it wasn't his.

General Comment:the "lift up the rug and sweep it underneath" part makes me think about abortion too. but maybe that's too obvious of a meaning

    General Comment:These lyrics are wrong.

    Liver Deceit, speaking in tongues.
Deft and a surgeons knife carving through bone.
Pregnant with doubt, you figured out.
Tricks of the trade to make a whisper a shout.
Mouthful of sweets, rotting your teeth.
Lift up the rug and sweet it underneath.
    You worry me
    when you don't believe.

General Comment:I think it's about lies, but also half-lies. Someone lying, but making their own truth known - "tricks of the trade to make a whisper a shout".

The lies are sweet, innocuous sounding things, but their underlying, implied (and yet plausibly deniable) meaning is very hurtful - "deft as a surgeon's knife carving through bone"

General Comment:i can't make out what the woman is saying in the background, not even at the end when it's just her. it sorta sounds like someone talking over a loudspeaker at least that's what i first thought of, and then i started thinking it sounded sort of like an answering message as well, except there's no introduction (like a "hey, it's __, etc) and no pausing/hesitation in the voice for thought process. still no idea what any of the actual words she says are... anyone else figure it out? it always sticks out when i listen to this song and i'm so curious.
