let it go,
let it roll right off your shoulder
don’t you know
the hardest part is over
let it in,
let your clarity define you
in the end
we will only just remember how it feels

our lives are made
in these small hours
these little wonders,
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away,
but these small hours,
these small hours still remain

let it slide,
let your troubles fall behind you
let it shine
until you feel it all around you
and i don’t mind
if it’s me you need to turn to
we’ll get by,
it’s the heart that really matters in the end

our lives are made
in these small hours
these little wonders,
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away,
but these small hours,
these small hours still remain

all of my regret
will wash away some how
but i can not forget
the way i feel right now

in these small hours
these little wonders
these twists & turns of fate
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away but these small hours
these small hours, still remain,
still remain
these little wonders
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away
but these small hours
these little wonders still remain

    General Comment:Rob explained the meaning of this song or if it wasn't that, it was what he felt about the song. He said that he was having a bad night and he took his dog for a walk. He said that he was all grumpy and in a bad mood, and then he looked at his dog and his dog was happy to simply be out for a walk with his dad! He said that it changed his perspective and how important it is to appreciate the small things. Rob is really amazing in concert.

    General Comment:I think it has something to do with autism spectrum awareness. Especially these lines: If it's me you need to turn to we'll get by. It's the heart that really matters in the end. and the line but these small hours these little wonders still remain.

    My Interpretation:My thoughts on this song (listening to right now, in fact) Is that life is full of big moments and many many small moments that will have the biggest impact on you and that some of those moments, both big and small, will keep you down and hopeless. That you're letting your problems get in the way of your future and that you have to let go of all that causes it, even if it's good memories. Life is a mystery and you will endure obstacles of all sizes. You will eventually find out that the small moments in life have smaller moments that you should appreciate and not hold it against yourself. When people say appreciate the small things, some don't realize how powerful the 'little wonders' can be. And what makes it better is if you have someone who has gone through the same things and help each other through the stress and hate. Get rid of your burden or it will blind you of the small things that mean most to you. No matter how small something is, it can create a big impact on you and your future if you let it. Hold down the positive and let go of the negative.Don't let others choose your future and take over. Just live. Make it YOUR life. Forgive but never forget.

    Song Meaning:this song is me ....
    when i was a teenager i had such teenage angst towards my mom... i do not know why ;; i hated her and did everything and anything to make her life miserable. i remember being tormented with hatred towards her..i drank .. did drugs and had several abortions.. i ran to trouble to get attention.. or something. i loved her yet i hated her... i hated my step father also .. and made her marriage to him miserable.. because i hated him too!!i was a messed up kid.... i am so so sorry for my actions back then.. it is so hard to let it go....how awful she must have felt.. yet she never abandoned me./../ nor did my step dad
    ITS THE HEART THAT REALLY MATTERS IN THE END.... ALL OF MY REGRET WILL WASH AWAY SOMEHOW...
    i am old now...57 and my mom is 89 and strong...she is gonna be 90 in december.. and i have her back now like she had mine...SHE IS WEAK OLD AND SOMETIMES NOT IN HER RIGHT MIND... HOWEVER... i was young ... weak minded and not in my right mind by drugs and alcohol and stupidity ...I HAVE MY MOMS BACK.. as much as i can
    .I THINK IF YOU CAN HANG AROUND LONG ENOUGH YOU WILL GET A CHANCE TO HAVE SMALL WONDERS TO REDEEM YOURSELF TO YOUR MOM OR WHOEVER YOU HAVE HURT.. EVEN IF IT IS YOURSELF... I LOVE YOU , MOM.. PLEASE PLEASE /.. ALL OF MY REGRET WILL WASH AWAY SOMEHOW....

    Song Meaning:Sadly, it seems to me as though all of the comments have missed the true point of the song. The song isn't focusing on whatever the "hardest part" is but instead on the "little wonders" themselves.

    This song is about love. It is about him encouraging his love as she spends time with him. And the memories of these "little wonders" of "small hours" (or a small amount of time together) enable her to be strong enough to make it though. After all "its the heart that really matters in the end."

    In this the heart of a person is not only their love but also intimately who they are. In strengthening her heart he strengthens her and in the mystery of love "these small hours, these little wonders, still remain" in that she loves him and he her.

    General Comment:i think its a love song or one to have to do with your friends, "let it go,
    let it roll right off your shoulder, don't you know the hardest part is over" is pretty much like your having a fight between two people or many, we only have so many hours to live so live it up and make the best of wat you have with anyone. treasure all the precious times you all spent together life is short so just make the best of it, this song is pretty much like my motto: live life to the fullest, its gonna have its hard times but just keep going and live it up because life is like a roller coaster it has its twist and turns of fate, charish all those great times you have because they'll be the best times of your life, and love the ones who love you back because their the ones who will be there for you.

    Memory:For us, it means so much because it belongs to a movie our mentally handicapped son watched right before he died. He immediately wanted the soundtrack--this song. This song so speaks to us, now, like he knew he was going to leave us, giving us advice on how to deal with it all. "All of our regret will wash away somehow." He was so, so special. Many of his favorite songs are very special now. But this one, the most. He had a very special heart, and it's the heart that really matters in the end.

    My Interpretation:I find this song amazing. While I doubt this is the actual meaning of the song, I was making a playlist of things that I would want to listen to as my last song.

    This song makes perfect sense as a death song. I know this sounds weird, but just take a look at the lyrics again.

    For instance:
    The hardest part is over
    Or:
    Let it in...In the end, we will only just remember how it feels

    I could go on, but just try that interpretation on for size. Particularly the "light" line.

    General Comment:This song reminds me of my best friend, Brandon. He was the boy next door we were eachothers best friends and for the longest time i was in love with him. But when he found his first love i relized that i was truely happy for him. "if its me you need to turn to
    well get by, " =]
