I think it's about a breakup..


My best friend(who I had a crush on at the time) sang this song just some weeks after we broke up. xD I don't think it was why he sang it, but still..

I think this song is sorta like a break up. Your in a relationship or friendship and you want everything to go great you want for once you want a "happy ending" its a person your close to whom your passionate with friend boyfriend, in my case an ex whom through all the problems i love dearly. No one believes me but its true. Back to the story.

And its about wanting heaven wanting happiness wanting a happy ending but getting a little bit of hell or a lotta it.

" its a little bit of heaven in a little bit of hell" Things do go bad and all you remember is the passion the dependency you have on that person. The love you have for him or her

this song is hopeful though with the stuff leading up to the climax/bridge the little bit of love vocals just build up happily like it will get better you'll get it eventually things will be fine.

THIS SONG IS SO HARD FOR ME TO LISTEN TO IVE BEEN SO HURT but i can't stop this song is the only happy ending ill ever get v.v

This is Mika's best song on the album. The others are great as well but he made the perfect choice in choosing this song to end a perfect album.

at his concerts he says it's about a friend of his in the U.S. excellent song and a fitting end to the album, in true Mika style putting Happy Ending as the last song, kinda like a play on words

This song has to be da most charged up of mikas.
Although everyone has diff interpretations I have to say this is all about a break up. =[

And yes all us unlucky bums out there who have been dumped by someone we love would feel connected to most of da song.

"wake up in the morning.. cant get no love without sacrifice.."- um in the process of finding real love it takes alot of hurt to actually find it

"i wish.. a little bit of heaven a little bit of hell" the hate/love feeling you sort of get when you break up.

"hardest story ive ever told" it hurts to look back and tell people the story of how we USE to love.
well everything is pretty self explanatory lol. but um to all u guys and girls with a broken heart- ull find true love one day =]

I don't know why you only talk about it as a break up this song is more EPIC than that!!!

It's about life in general not only about Love but friendship: "This is the way that we love,

Then live the rest of our life,
Both not together" How can you say this is only about love but more like friendship(or family) You think you'll be friends forever than as time move on you grow up and you become sperate and live on your life.

But of course (not always) everything happens as you grow up... There pain, love, lust, death and so on... as joy and ecc. We grow up and think we'll be together forever but grow up and distant yourself (going unnotice by yourself) and move on. It also depend which kind of life you're living...

This is the only song i do like about this guy :D it's amazing:

this song relates to me and my friend's suicide. this is the way he left us. we can't pretend he died any other way. he had no hope, his death had no glory, i still love him, even though he's not here anymore. telling people about him is so hard. especially because dumb people think that people who take their lives are weak. if i could pretend my friend didn't take his life, just moved away, then i'd get a lot more sleep at night. wouldn't have the haunting images of him with a gun to his head. all he needed was a little love

my teachers, miss johnson and miss campbell both love this song, at art,we always put the radio on, and one day this song came on and miss C was like "oh goodness! MIKA!" we were like "OMG!!! miss campbell likes MIKA!!!!" and miss J was all "children stop chatting, i want to hear the words!"

I think..Mika is singing after breaking up, the one is still missing the other, but with a bit hate. He or she has given up on prestending or hidding the truth that he gets hurt, sometimes we don't wanna show off that part when the pain is deepest..
I feel a lot abt this song.good one.Cuz I went thru two breakup this year..

I think that this song is less about a break-up and more about life afterwards. The lyrics are saying "I have no future without you." I think that Erase and Happy Ending fit together (Erase is the break-up, Happy Ending is the aftermath).
