I think this song is about a relationship where the chick expected him to choose her over his friends, and was most likely being persistent.

I thought this was just a straightforward song about ADTR thanking us, their fans, because they'd be nothing without us.

I can sort of see where a girl might come into play in the lyrics, but I think you're looking into it too much.

This song is defiantly about the fens, because this song is on their second album, and he's saying thank you for getting us this far, we wouldn't be here with out you, and yeah he does write allot of songs about relationships this is one of the ones that is not though

this to me is definately still about the fans the line
"we acknowledge you as the only reason for the progress that we made" to me means that they are thankful for all the fans that listened to them and spread the word about their music, for without that they wouldnt of made ti this far.

its thanking us for helping them make it somewere in earth as (famous) before 2012 cause everyone talks bout how the world is going to end in 2012.



so in that case there thanking us for heling cause without us they wouldnt be anything and they would concquer anything in life.


thats why it says "WE CAME WE SAW WE CONQUERED" meaning thewy came and started the band they saw how many people liked them and they conquered by making it somewere in LIFE. BEFORE 2012 again lol.

this song is to the fans just saying thanks lyrics are simple im not too sure why it goes on to say my friends come first thats the bottom line, but hey they are one of the few bands who actually write a song to the fans saying thank you but hell this song is awesome!
