Thnks Fr Th Mmrs Lyrics
Im gonna make it bend and break,
They sent you to me without wings,
Say a prayer, but let the good times roll,
In case God doesn't show,
Let the good times roll (Let the good times roll)
And I want these words to make things right,
But its the wrong's that make the words come to life,
Who does he think he is?
If that's the worst you've got,
Better put your fingers back to the key.

One night and one more time,
Thanks for the memories,
Even though they weren't so great,
He tastes like you, only sweeter,
One night, yea, one more time,
Thanks for the memories,
Thanks for the memories,
See, he tastes like you, only sweeter.
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh

Been looking forward to the future,
But my eyesight is going bad,
And this crystal ball is,
Always cloudy except for (except for),
When you look into the past (look into the past),
One night stand (One night stand, oh)

One night and one more time,
Thanks for the memories,
Even though they weren't so great,
He tastes like you, only sweeter,
One night, yea, one more time,
Thanks for the memories,
Thanks for the memories,
See, he tastes like you, only sweeter.
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh

They say I only think,
In the form of crunching numbers,
In hotel rooms, collecting Page Six lovers,
Get me out of my mind, and get you out of those clothes.
Im a liner away from getting you into the mood.
Woah-oh.

One night and one more time,
Thanks for the memories,
Even though they weren't so great,
He tastes like you, only sweeter,
One night, (Woah) Yea (Woah) one more time,
Thanks for the memories,
Thanks for the memories,
See, he tastes like you, only sweeter.
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh

One more night,
One more time,
Thanks for the memories,
Even though they weren't so great,
He tastes like you, only sweeter,
One (more) night, Yea one more time,
Thanks for the memories,
Thanks for the memories,
See, he tastes like you, only sweeter.
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh.

I think this song is an allegory about a man struggling with drug addiction and whether or not to quit. Here's my analysis of the parts of the song that relate to this theory: "I'm gonna make you bend and break" - Drugs made him bend and break; "Say a prayer, but let the good times roll, In case God doesn't show" - Pray you don't OD but have fun if you don't (if God doesn't take you); "And I want these words to make things right, but it's the wrongs that make the words come to life" - He's telling people he'll quit doing drugs, but the fact he's doing them is what gives the words meaning. "Who does he think he is" - Perhaps about a father figure or someone else who is telling him not to do drugs. As for the chorus, "One night and one more time" - He's telling himself this will be the LAST night he'll do drugs (e.g. "I can quit whenever I want."); "Thanks for the memories, even though they weren't so great" - He's telling the drug goodbye, but reminding himself the effects were dangerous; "He tastes like you, only sweeter" - Freedom tastes like drugs only sweeter. The second part of the chorus is identical to the first, but he repeats "Thanks for the memories," possibly to firmly tell himself the drugs are gone. "Looking forward to the future, But my eyesight is going bad" - He's thinking of what he wants to do with his life but is losing sight of his goals because of the drugs; "And this crystal ball, Is always cloudy except for when you look into the past" - You never know the drug's true consequences until after the fact. "One-night stand...One-night stand off" - His addiction leads him into a one-night stand, after which he battles himself about quitting drugs. "I only think in the form of crunching numbers" - Refers to either a.) Losing money to support his habit or b.) Actually weighing drugs and dealing with the money; "In hotel rooms" - Doing drugs in hotel rooms to sort of cover his tracks; "Collecting Page Six lovers" - Reference to using rolled-up magazine pages to snort cocaine through. The drug references go away in the end of the breakdown, but come back in the repeated choruses, which are sung with a feeling of force and anguish, and the final power chord, which sounds like he's giving up.

"I'm gonna make you bend and break"
-she bends the truth(lies), and now he's going to break her

"(It sent you to me without wings)"
-'It' depending on your religion is God, etc. so basicly, he got a broke angel, a not very good one

"Say a prayer but let the good times roll
In case God doesn't show"
-He'll pray for the best, but that won't stop him from doing wrong and having fun in the chance God doesn't show

"And I want these words to make things right
But it's the wrongs that make the words come to life"
-He's writting this song to set the record straight, to say sorry, but then again, without the mistakes he's appologizing for, this song wouldn't exist

""Who does he think he is?"
If that's the worst you got
Better put your fingers back to the keys"
-a remark on internet bloggers saying things like, 'he's no one special, who does he think he is?' and he's saying, 'that's the worst you can type about me? Better try again'

"One night and one more time"
-One more night together, a last horrah

"Thanks for the memories
even though they weren't so great"
-thanks for the impression and time they spent together, but they weren't good

"He tastes like you only sweeter"
-A line from the movie 'closer'(great movie), if you think it means something extremely dirty, your right. Basically, the other guy is better than him in every way, even the way parts of him taste

"Been looking forward to the future
But my eyesight is going bad"
-he can't wait for whats coming, but at this rate, he may never see it

"And this crystal ball
It's always cloudy except for (except for)
When you look into the past (look into the past)"
-the past is just the future with the lights on

"They say I only think in the form of crunching numbers
In hotel rooms collecting page six lovers"
-that he's a sellout that only thinks about the money and bangs a new celebrity everyday for the headlines

"Get me out of my mind and get you out of those clothes
I'm a liner away from getting you into the mood, whoa"
-the only think that can distract him from his own thoughts is a night with her, and a night with her is only another slick, one liner away

The lead singer is gay and he is singing about how he is thanking people for his memories of being straight and saying how the guy he's with tastes sweeter.

Well, I don't truly get it but it sounds like "I am on my way for getting you into the mood" Patrick is good, and I didn't expect him to look like he does, but he needs better pronunciation.

This song is about Pete's relationship with HeyChris' girlfriend. And about the MySpace fight between Pete And Chris. Pete felt bad about being with his friends girl but couldn't stop even thought it was wrong,
"One night, one more time" is about Pete trying to stop.

The last line from the 1st verse is about Pete vs Chris.
The hotel lyrics are about Pete and Ms. Chris meeting in hotel rooms.

Well, see, I'm gonna deny what the first guy said about it being a quote and take that one line and tell you guys what it's about because that's you IDIOTS always do. So, it's OBVIOUSLY about a transexual. "He tastes like you only sweeter", that's the only line that backs me up on this one. "HE tastes like YOU only SWEETER"! How do you guys not understand this line? He is in love with a transexual and he's talkin' to his girlfriend about it. That's it! I have nothing else to support this theory! Enjoy!

The song is about the ending of Pete and Chris's friendship over a girl. Pete messed around with Kate, his best friend's girlfriend. Chris responded by having a hissy fit in his blog "punch your fingers back to the keys".

I don't think this song necessarily needs to mean one thing, a lot of songs have multiple things that inspire the lyrics. Maybe part of it was about the movie Closer, another part about a girl he'd had one night stands with, and maybe another part about Chris, I can see all of those fitting into the song just fine.

If you look at the lyrics, "He tastes like you, only sweeter," it is in quotations, and they are definetly not gay.
"He tastes like you, only sweeter," was in the film called Closer starring Julia Roberts.
She said it to her husband, and she was cheating on him.
"One night and one more time," is when she spends her last night with her husband.
Pete thought that the film focused a lot on what happens in real life, so that is why they wrote this song.
