  General Comment:Shortly after i gave my life to the Lord, i found myself at times full of the Spirit and confident in the Lord, and other times struggling to change my life and stay away from sinful behavior. A couple of times I lost my sight on Him and indulged into my old habbits, only to feel a great deal of condemnation shortly after. One night i was praying and seeking God, but felt abandoned due to guilt for what i had done. I couldn't feel God's presence like i had before and i was losing hope, i thought i blew my chance. I prayed and prayed and God reminded me of this song, i had heard it before but never really listened to the lyrics till that night.
  
  The first verse perfectly described how worn and exhausted i felt trying to displace my earthly ways and find Him, only to get "bruised and battered hands and a brand new void inside of me".
  
  The rest of the song was so encouraging..
  
  "I have not be abandoned
  No, I have not been deserted
  And I have not been forgotten"
  
  "Please shine a light into the black
  Wade through the depths and bring me back"
  
  "When my hopes seem to dangle somewhere just beyond my reach
  You say you've heard my prayers, you've read my words there on the beach"
  
  This song renewed my sense of hope and trust in God and his ability to forgive. Anytime i feel lost or confused, i sing the chorus of this song, knowing he hears my prayers, and is taking care of the situation.

  General Comment:Gives me chillsss. By far, one of my favorite songs.

  he's hurt and is saying that he needs God now. and god is everything to him and he needs him for security..

  General Comment:This son gis rly amazing. I Love relient k and i think they are one of my Favorite bands. i like how they are Christian but can also have some songs where they can be more... umm.. Like them selves i guess u could say. But all together they are awsome!!!

  General Comment:I heard this song for the first time a few weeks ago, and it brought tears to my eyes. At first I related it to a friend of mine that lives in California. He's always been my rock, and I miss him constantly. But after I listened to it a few times, I realized that maybe it wasn't him that I needed, but God instead. I've been having kind of a rough time lately and because of that my faith has been wavering. But hearing this song made me realize just what it says.. "I have no been abandoned. No, I have not been deserted and I have not been forgotten." :]] And now things seem to be getting better, so I'm much happier, and very thankful.
  
  Amazing song.

  General Comment:I always had this idea for a story but it couldn't form right. Then I heard this song it all clicked. The end of the song is what really made it click.
  
  A boy steps infront of his friends to protect them from being shot by a tank that is ready to fire at them.
  The boy is scared and the song is playing in the background sort of like his prayer, his guardain angel sees he is in fear and in danger leaps in front of him, and in six swings on her staff wrecks the tank saving the boy and his friends lives.
  
  This I think will always be one of my favorite songs.
