Lazy man who can't find his words
All caught up inside his head
He is there with you, he is there with you
And when he can't speak from too much wine,
You're always there with his line
He wants to go home
You know the jolly show must go on
But he sees me on you
And you on summer buzz and summer heat
But I don't know
For go to the picture show today

We're living day by day
And we both know
That this world can make no sense
When you jumped everybody's fence

We're living aimlessly
And we both know
That this world will make no sense
When you jumped everybody's fence
And you know we can
And you know we can
Know we can, yeah yeah

This song is about two people, the "lazy man" and the narrator. The lazy man is a person at a party but doesn't really want to be there. But his friends are there (and the narrator) and they are encouraging him to stick it out (the jolly show must go on). But ultimately, the lazy man (or shy man, or introverted man, something like that) just gets jealous from seeing everyone else having a good time (me on you and you on summer buzz and summer heat). The closing refrain of the song talks about the attitude of the narrator and his friends, we're living day by day and you know this world makes no sense. A carefree attitude, the attitude of a joker. But it's also aimless (we're living aimlessly). One of the themes of this album I think is to find a greater purpose. We're living aimlessly, yeah that's great, but maybe we can do more than that.

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
