1. As he says, this is a song about all the people being hypnotized by common religions, following role models and rules that only leads to a confusion noticed but ignored by everyone of them. They get "painful" "soul crushed" "mind twisted" "head spun" "heart cold" when these people recognize that their God has dissapointed them after blindly following him. The empty food of the last supper and eucharist got them choking. All the priests and religious people say what you will because there is no father figure!
2. This song could also be interpreted as child's abuse/domestic violence. Talks about a hopeless child or woman who is being abused or violently treated and who is supposed to follow father figure's rules
"Now that you kill it's a much bigger pill, There's a larger world you're missing"-->the father figure has an unreasonable and crazy behavior who is being under drugs or medications and lives inside of a small ignorant world under these effects.
