I'm a little confused with the time machine business. Can someone show me where in this song a time machine is referenced? From what I can tell it's about zombies in the tribulation times from Revelations.
You have to listen to the rest of the album to understand the greater context of this song, which does involve time travel. This entire song is a scene observed by the protagonist who has traveled from the beginning of time to save the woman he loved from death, but now finds himself too far forward and is at the end of time.
