Lord, give me grace
And dancing feet
And the power to impress
Lord, give me grace
And dancing feet
Let me outshine them all

Is it so wrong to crave recognition?
Second best
Runner up
Is it so wrong to want rewarding?
To want more than is given to you?
Than is given to you?

Tonight make me unstoppable
I will charm, I will slice,
I will dazzle them with my wit
Tonight make me unstoppable
And I will charm, I will slice

I will dazzle I will outshine all

Standing on the packed dance floor
Our bodies thrown in time
Silent on the weekdays
Tonight I claim what's mine

Is it so wrong to crave recognition?
Second best
Runner up
Is it so wrong to want rewarding?
To want more than is given to you?
Than is given to you?

Tonight make me unstoppable
I will charm, I will slice,
I will dazzle them with my wit
Tonight make me unstoppable
And I will charm, I will slice
I will dazzle I will outshine all

A song about wanting to go out and shine....to feel loved, liked, desired; to be looked up to; respected; etc.

"Silent on the weekdays. Tonight I claim what's mine"...working all week and just waiting for the weekend to go out and have fun (perhaps).

"Tonight make me unstoppable. I will charm, I will slice, I will dazzle them with my wit.Tonight make me unstoppable. And I will charm, I will slice. I will dazzle I will outshine all."

I don't have to guess. We have each had the pleasure of meeting someone like this....s/he lights up the room! The singer WILL dazzle and outshine all others, no doubt. Hopefully s/he'll be a little careful while having a ball. Last time I tried to dazzle, I hurt my back after some big guy dipped me. (Who dips these days, anyway, and to rock 'n roll no less? LOL)
