    This song is awesome. I love the chorus and the line "Maybe I could rest beneath your smile"

    General Comment:This is yet another song that helped me get through a most difficult year last year. It also reminds me of someone's smile that if only for a second gives me some peaceful rest.

    General Comment:Definately one of Dierks' better songs. It has alot of internal and external meaning, and the music video put to the song is pretty powerful.

    General Comment:A rundown of the video:

    Although it begins with him in jail, you get the reasoning closer to the end. He gets drunk and into a bar fight, then is sent to the drunk tank. I assume he's on vacation alone when this happens. The girlfriend takes this opportunity to wuss out of the relationship and move out. He uses his one phone call to call her, or he calls after he gets out, I'm not sure. You don't get a good sense of how long he's in jail, but it's long enough for it to be daylight when his head is shaved. After he gets out he hitch-hikes and barters his way across the country to get home. When he gets there, his house is empty and his message is on the answering machine, unplayed. She left right after he did.


    I love this song. I could listen to it on repeat for days. I love the religious undertones, purposeful or not. It's an amazing song with amazing writing.

    General Comment:at first..i thought that it was about a girlfriend of his that was close to leaving, or already left..but the more i listened to it, i started relating it to Christ and how this song is so unbelievably powerful. i think that this connection can be made to a lot of country songs..
    i love country..the words and lyrics are so real and they mean something..unlike a lot of other songs out there..

    this song is just gorgeous..just like dierks :D amazing, amazing song.

    General Comment:yeah-- beccamck26 is right. i think it is his voice. he left her to go to prison or whatever. he must have called her is prison. and when he got home.. he checked the messages-- it was him. and he realized that she hasnt checked them since he has been gone. =[.

    General Comment:he is so not gay. gosh. you're nuts. i think its his voice and he just returned home and all the stuff in his house that he probably shared with his girlfriend is missing and he was trying to get ahold of her in mexico or wherever he was.. and he was leaving the message for her.. i would assume that what it is supposed to be.

    i miss his curls too.:(
