Lyrics for Limousine as interpreted by bnjared

Limousine Lyrics
"K, here's your ride.
Get your petals out and lay them in the aisle
Pretend you are God, and grow,
And that it's your own day to wed
We have found your man.
He is drinking up.
He's all-American, and he'll drive
He has volunteered with grace to end your life.
We'll tidy up
It's sad to hold, but leave your shell to us
You explode, you firefly, you tiny boat with oars,
Feather oars
The world tilts back and pours and pours
And so, you satellite, you tidal wave,
You're a big surprise
And I have one more night to be your mother"

Her signal was interrupted.
My baby's frequency not strong enough
Her head in my hands and smiling.

K, we will miss you but in time you'll get set up,
And we will write"

(Curtain)

Hey, you beauty supreme
Yeah, you were right about me
But can I get myself out from underneath
This guilt that will crush me
In the choir, I saw our sad Messiah
He was bored and tired of my laments
He said, "I died for you one time, but never again"

Well I love you so much, but do me a favor baby and don't reply
Cause I can dish it out, but I can't take it
1234567

I'll never have to buy adjacent plots of earth
We'll never have to rot together underneath dirt
I'll never have to lose my baby in the crowd
I should be laughing right now

I'm so excited about the new CD :D...

I like the lyrics to this song a lot. I think he's talking about someone who cheated on him... the numbers represtenting the number of times. And when he says, "because i can dish it out but i can't take it." he means he's cheated on her before but he can't handel take the way he feels after it's been done to him. Let me know if you agree or not...

Get your petals out, lay them in the isle

They signal to interrupt

We will write (breathe in)
So breathe
Yeah, you were right about me

_______

Just some spelling fixes...

I was almost sure the end said 'I should be locked up right now'...but I do hear it as laughing, which is surely right.
I thought it was better when I heard 'locked up'. :/

Your username can't be serious, is it? Pre-TDAGARIOM I'd probably agree to an extent. But now? No way, the guy has obviously lost his adroitness for lyrical content.

Hobbyy I disagree with you completely... And It's a different sound just as YFW and Deja were tremendously different but both amazing. You haven't even heard the entire new CD so maybe you should wait to judge it until you've actually heard it? just a thought...

i can't believe there hasn't been more comments on this song, i guess some are being good people and resisting the urge to donwload the couple leaked songs ;) this is my favorite so far, it really shows the growth, maturity and honesty in jesse's lyrics and their music in general. as for the seven reference, alot of things could make sense, but i immediately thought of the 7 being used in the same way the 70x7 song title, as in 7 represented infinity or the greatest number. and to expand on that, he counts up to it because he loved the girl that much. maybe thats stupid, haha. just a thought.

I dont know why, but when I hear this song, it reminds me of the scene in the church in Kill Bill. Interesting analysis of the number seven. If this song were a chain, it would hang lower than a wizard sleeve.

The Signal Interupts
Baby's Frequency not strong enough remains
My hand and smile
We will miss you
But in time you’ll get settled
and we will ride
Yea, you were right about me
Can I get myself out from underneath
This guilt that will crush me
and in the quiet
I saw our sad messiah
He was bored and tired of my laments
Said I’d die for you one time but never again
(Never again )

I'm pretty sure this is about a wedding. The first big clue is "it's your day to wed" but also lines about "petals in the aisles" and "your man... volunteering grace to end your life." Also, the seven count at the end is almost like a "How do I love thee, let me count the ways"

The title could refer to how newlyweds will often leave in a limousine.

There's probably more to my analysis, but I can't be buggered to do it now.

I think it's about some woman that he loved but is getting married and this song represents his conflicts between wanting and letting go.

"one more night to be your mother"

Parents sometimes can influence relationships of there children, but it depends on the background of the person.. that line probably means that she is saying what her mother wants and therefore he doesn't see her, just her mother

"Seven loves you so much, but do me a favour baby, don't reply, cos I can dish it out, but I cant take it" - FRIGGIN AWESOME!

New album, probably not as close to my taste as Deja, but then that was a perfect album so Im still happy with The Devil and God....

I love how Radiohead this album is (in particular this song).

Is it Just me or have all of their voices improved out of site. I mean they were good to start with but it was carried a little by how good the lyrics were but now their singing doing their lyrics justice.
Though part of me wonders how much that has to do with them being signed to Interscope, hmmm...

Awesome album

this is, i think, a lot about God, like most of the songs on this album are.
i think the significance of the number seven is either the seven deadly sins, or the seven days God spent creating the earth.
Also, the second verse is like
"and in the choir i saw a sad messiah,
He was bored and tired of my laments
said, 'id die for you one time but never again, never again'"
I think this song reflects a feeling that God has given up, because that verse basically says that Jesus was sick of caring for him, and wouldnt sacrifice himself again if he had the chance.

this is my favorite song on the new album. and it could be about God. or it could be something entirely different and they're just relating it to God.

i love this so much =D

I think I may have figured out the song. It may be a stretch at sometimes but I think it fits. Listening to the whole album and the demos from before I think this song may be about someone dieing from drunk driving, possibly a man killing his wife while driving the car drunk.

The beginning of the song may be from the wife's mother's point of view. Talking about how her ride is waiting and how he has been drinking and going to take her life. Saying things like "leave your shell" maybe meaning her spirit will go on but her body will be left. Then she says "one more night, to be your mother" as in you are going to die tonight.

Then the song describes the wife dieing talking about not making the frequency strong enough to remain. Maybe talking about her dieing and them trying to do the electric heart pumps. Or possibly her being in a vegitative state and them killing her off because she would never come back. At the end of this Jessy sings "We we're right" not "We will right." Maybe this is the family saying they never liked him and now they we're right about him.

Anyway when he says "so breathe, yah you were right about me, can i get my self out from underneath this guilt that will crush me" I think this is when Jesse starts singing form the husband's point of view who was driving saying he feels really crappy about it, then he talks about Jesus even making him feel bad for waht he did.

And when he's counting up to 7 it may be him trying to pray to his dead wife and saying "dont reply" because he knows she wont reply anyway. Also I know in the bible the number 7 is one of the numbers that is used alot.

One more part in the song talks about not having to live on this dirt, and never having to find his baby in a crowd. Possibly just saying she's not alive anymore and that they wont live together and he wont find her in a crowd cause she's gone.

Just a guess at the song, some of it could make sense, what do you guys think?

I also know this song has to do with The Sinner's Lament, which talks about the body being like a cage, and being on fire. Kind of like the beginning of the song talks about.

Also it talks about God abandoning the person in The Sinner's Lament, and it mentions the 7 deadly sins.

Wow, the put a lot of thought into this song.

I think the seven's at the end are something different. notice that its said four times, but really theres only 3 seven related verses (the first one is said to times). three 7's....777...is the number of god. The devil and GOD are raging inside me.

1,2,3,4,5,6,7 is counting up to something which I'm not sure of, but is most certainly religious, then he repeats 777 - "perfection" in the Bible, aka God.
