He left no time to regret
Kept his dick wet
With his same old safe bet
Me and my head high
And my tears dry
Get on without my guy
You went back to what you knew
So far removed from all that we went through
And I tread a troubled track
My odds are stacked
I'll go back to black

We only said goodbye with words
I died a hundred times
You go back to her
And I go back to
I go back to us

I love you much
It's not enough
You love blow and I love puff
And life is like a pipe
And I'm a tiny penny rolling up the walls inside

We only said goodbye with words
I died a hundred times
You go back to her
And I go back to
We only said goodbye with words
I died a hundred times
You go back to her
And I go back to

Black
Black
Black
Black
Black
Black
Black
I go back to
I go back to

We only said goodbye with words
I died a hundred times
You go back to her
And I go back to
We only said goodbye with words
I died a hundred times
You go back to her
And I go back to black

    Translation

I found this website that has drug slang translation. I think she used a lot of play on words: Black to Black play on words for 1) "back to back" - Smoking crack after injecting heroin or heroin used after smoking crack 2) "black" - Marijuana; opium; methamphetamine

And the line: My Odds are Stacked - "stacking" combining drugs

So she injected heroine and consecutively smoked marijuana

    • which makes sense about about loving "puff" later. I think that loving "blow" is pretty obvious for cocaine. And I'm a "tiny penny" : a penny balloon that contains narcotics

I think this all gives a deeper insight into the darkness of her drug usage to numb the pain. The straightforward interpretation is correct, and then this background information shows insidious her love and drug life were.
