I want to know your plans and how involved in them I am.
When I go to sleep for good will I be forgiven?
And If you want roses you can go buy a bouquet.
If that just won't cut it, well what can I say?

You're what keeps me believing the world's not long dead,
Strength in my bones put words in my head.
When they pour out to paper, it's all for you.
'Cause that's what you do. That's what you do.

I want to know your fears, from your feet to the back of your ears.
When they raise the landing gear will your heart stay here?
If you could forgive me for being so brash, well you
you could hit me or whip me, I'd savor each lash.

You're what keeps me believing the world's not long dead,
Strength in my bones put words in my head.
When they pour out to paper.
It's all for you. Cause that's what you do.

No more fighting.
This is only a waste of our time 'cause soon we'll be leaving.
Will this strength still be mine?
I'll look out for you until I die, 'til I rot.

I'll remember you until I die, 'til I rot.

General Comment:I would just point out that this is the original version, while the extend cut was released years later under the "...Is a real boy" album.

General Comment:I think this version vs the other one are like that is why vs you should rock my world, he wrote the song when falling in love, and then changed the song a bit after it fell apart.

    just a thought =p

General Comment:i don't like this version as much. "i'll buy a boquet," it's just so tacky. the album version is just so much more brutally honest and still sweet.

General Comment:i like both versions. i absolutely love this song.
i think they both have the same general meaning. he loves someone and wants to know if they see him in their future (i want to know your plans and how involved in them i am). but it seems like this one is a little more specific. the person he loves is going away in the fall, maybe off to college or something? (when you leave for good this fall will i be forgiven) and he doesn't know if it will last or if they'll forget him once they go away (i want to know your fears and if you'll forget me next year/when the jets go up and out will our hearts stay here).
i completely relate to this version. cause i'm in that whole person-you-love-is-going-away-to-college-soon situation. so i guess that's why i like it a little more.

General Comment:this is the version off of Menorah\Majora, which was the first say anything i ever heard, actually. i like this one better, except for the pretty nasty drum machine. but that's just me.

General Comment:This song is not a cover. It is sung by Max, just with different lyrics, like the two versions of That is Why.

Personally, I like the CD version better. It has much more meaning to me.

General Comment:This is just someone doing a cover and getting the words wrong. Whoever it is totally misses the passion behind the real song. for example the line

"And If you want roses, I'll buy a bouquet.
If that just won't cut it, what can I say?"

    its supposed to be

"And if you want roses, THEN go by a bouquet."

Thats the whole tone of the song, this guy isn't the perfect gentleman and doesn't care about flowers, the love he feels for this girl is so much more.

This version completely misses the whole meaning that Max was trying to portray.

*You're what keeps me believing this world's not long dead.
Strength in my bones and the words in my head.*

General Comment:I like this version much more than the other one. It sounds less tacky to me, and the little difference in lyrics makes it sound more lyricly subtle i think
