She starts her new diet of liquor and dick.
Just like Hollywood, but laced in sick.
The sun goes down, and so does she.
The sun goes down, and so does she.

Sold out the love that she had, left with a cut of the throat.
Drinks all 'round on her before she strolls to the moat.
The sun goes down, and so does she.
The sun goes down, and so does she.

Oh!
Count!

Count your fucking blessings!
Come on!

Count your blessings, 'cause I'm counting every lie.
Count your blessings, 'cause I'm counting every lie.
Counting every lie.

Christ, I'm asking you for just one thing.
I'm asking you for just one thing.

Eradicate this disease.

Close your eyes, pray for plagues.
Oh Lord cleanse this Earth, and bring upon our dooms day.
Oh, close your eyes, pray for plagues.
Cleanse this Earth, and bring dooms day.

She starts her new diet of liquor and dick.
Just like Hollywood, but laced in sick.
The sun goes down, and so does she.
The sun goes down, and so does she.

So clap your hands to the sound of every first born dying now.
Watch the rivers flow with blood, death will stand where life once stood.

So clap your hands to the sound of every first born dying now.
Watch the rivers turn to blood, death will stand where life once stood.
So clap your hands to the sound of every first born dying now.
Watch this rivers turn to blood, death will stand where life once stood.

Close your eyes, pray for plagues.
Cleanse this Earth, bring our dooms day.

Song Meaning:I think this song is talking about modern young and how they sleep with random people, just to say that they did. "Just like Hollywood but laced in sick" this means it seems like a nice life until they try it.

Oli also uses a metaphor of the 10 Egyptian plagues, "So clap your hands to the sound of every first born dying now. Watch the rivers flow with blood-" This makes reference to the first and tenth plagues, of which both Nile turned to blood and the first born of each household that did not follow god's instructions would die. "Close your eyes, pray for plagues. Oh Lord cleanse this Earth, and bring upon our dooms day. Oh, close your eyes, pray for plagues. Cleanse this Earth, and bring dooms day," this is him pleading to god to bring on the plagues.

Song Meaning:I think this is talking about trying to rid the world of "evil," by praying to G-d to kill wipe out terrible people, and is comparing this wish to the ten plagues in the story of exodus. The "rivers flow with blood" and "clap your hands for the death of every newborn dying now" made me think of that.......They may be referring to when the Jewish people crossed the sea and began to celebrate that they survived, and an angel coming down and saying not to boast about being alive when people had to be killed in the process.

General Comment:I think that partially it is about abortions, but not completely. Nor is it about the biblical story of the plagues. I believe that 'she', whom is mentioned in the song many times, is abortion, drug use, etc, etc. Meaning that him praying for plagues is him praying for the world to be cleansed of her (her being all of the horrible things in the world today). So in some ways both theories are correct just not used correctly. Yes the song is partially about abortion, and yes the song is about the biblical story of the plagues, but it is more about praying for a modern day set of plagues to come wash the earth of horrible things like abortion. The only line in the entire song that doesn't seem to outright support my theory on this is "The sun goes down, and so does she" because of course the worlds problems don't disappear when the sun goes down. Yet, I feel like that line is meant to be taken as, as the sun goes down, the disease spreads, like an STD infested crack whore working the corner, some of these "diseases" the world has, seem to come out more at night. None-the-less lyrics by anyone other than yourself are left to the interpretation of others and this is my personal interpretation on these lyrics. Hope that maybe I was right, because even though I am not a christian, and don't believe in the stories of the bible, the world does need a good cleansing of all of its evil.

General Comment:Seriously, I'm not one of those old guys who says "deathcore is for scene fags", but in terms of deathcore, BMTH hs to be the most cliched. Yeah it's heavy and the growls are good, but I think either suicide silence or bring me the horizon invented the genre and it didn't seem to work out as well as it could have. I personally like underground deathcore like Glass Casket or The contortionist, and definelty painted in exile but that's just me.

"she starts her diet of liquior and dick,
just like hollywood, except laced with sick"

this song means something so much more than these words,
a girl cheated obviously, and now hes mad..not just at her, but at the world.
    he blames himself.
therefor he wants god to cleanse this earth..

he also talks about counting lies, so that could only mean hes been lied to by a girl before,
and the "plauge" could either be his emotions or maybe this whore has h.i.v.

either way, if i were dating oli i would never cheat.

    I LOVE THIS SONG =]

and I LOVE OLIVER SYKES HES THE FUCKING BEST.

General Comment:I guess BMTH fans arent as imaginative or intelligent as I would have liked to see looking here.... to make it clear this song is about 'clensing' the earth aka doing away with a certain type of shitty people. The specific people they are talking about seems to be slutty girls.
    - First four lines just talk about a girl being a slut, like you see in movies (hollywood) and popular culture. The sun goes down and so does she .. pretty obvious sexual reference ... if u dont understand it your i guess just too young or brain dead
    - second set of four lines talk about why they these slutty girls are so shity. They sell out on love. Thus hes saying although they may have started as lovable human beings they sold that out and just turned into sluts... followed by the same sexual reference.
    - the next part about counting your blessings. He is just saying they shouldn't take their rich spoiled easy lifestyle for granted because he is watching them everytime they lie.
    - Therafter he asks christ to bring a plague to kill off these type of people for the remainder of the songs
