    My Opinion:I'm not 100% sure, but to me this song sounded like the Patient's (I'm not including Gerard or Bert in this one, preferring to leave things I don't know about and have no right to know about alone) feelings after a massive fight with his girlfriend or wife (I don't think it's a boyfriend because '...all the good *girls* go to Heaven') and she storms out after they explicitly tell each other that they don't care for each other any more. Patient, when Mrs. Patient has left, realises that he didn't actually mean what he said to her, and proceeds to despair.

    Also: I agree with EllyMon, that part hits me every time, but the part after 'And now, you wanna see how far down/I can sink/ Let me go!/ Well now so you can...' affects me more because I can imagine myself screaming that.

    That has a rather strong effect on me. Having to leave people, wether you die or move country wtv, its how you feel after. Bleh, not a pleasant feeling

    General Comment:in my opinion, its about caring for someone so much and feeling like nothing without them.. "and without you, is how i disapear." being hurt so much that you want to push that one person away, but not being able to and knowing that that person is the only one that fufills you. its terribly painful, truthfully. "can you hear me cry out to you? words i thought i'd choke on figure out... im just a ghost." feeling like nothing to that person.

    but i could be wrong.

    General Comment:Ok, here's a thought. All of you who are arguing about whether this song is about the Patient or about Gerard and Bert, I've got news: You're both right!

    The Black Parade is meant to be about the Patient's trip through death and his revisitation of all his memories...we all know that, but who's to say the band didn't draw inspiration from Gerard and Bert? Duh!
    The Patient went through something just like what Gerard did. Wonder why? Uh......did Gerard help CREATE the Patient?????????? MAYBE???????
    Come on.
