[Chorus]
They tried to make me go to rehab
I said, "no, no, no"
Yes, I been black
But when I come back, you'll know, know, know
I ain't got the time
And if my daddy thinks I'm fine
He's tried to make me go to rehab
I won't go, go, go

I'd rather be at home with a Ray
I ain't got seventy days
'Cause there's nothing, there's nothing you can teach me
That I can't learn from Mr. Hathaway

I didn't get a lot in class
But I know we don't come in a shot glass

[Chorus]

The man said, "why do you think you here?"
I said, "I got no idea."
I'm gonna, I'm gonna lose my baby
So I always keep a bottle near
He said, "I just think you're depressed."
This, me, yeah, baby, and the rest

They tried to make me go to rehab
But I said, "no, no, no"
Yes, I been black
But when I come back, you'll know, know, know

I don't ever want to drink again
I just, oh, I just need a friend
I'm not gonna spend ten weeks
Have everyone think I'm on the mend

And it's not just my pride
It's just till these tears have dried

[Chorus]

General Comment:As some others have said, the song will be a classic. It will epitomize the age the age of drug use. Foucault could write a fucking novel about it. In one-hundred years, drug users will be understood. They will look at us like we, today, look at the sexual inquisitions of the 1800's. "The poor saps," they'll say. "If only they'd been born a hundred years later."

General Comment:Its interesting to read comments, both before and after Amy passed away. Amy Winehouse was a talented Singer with her inner demons consuming her. Some Artists live a life where they burn intensely but their nature eventually kills them. If you ask an artist if its worth it, some will say it is. Amy's life may be gone but she left behind an everlasting sound.

General Comment:Well, I am the one who have heard about Amy Winehouse because of the media talking about her death. I remember this song as I have heard it on a radio many times but just recently I paid attention to it.

    Song for me is great.

My first impression is like that: she has some substance abuse related problems so they want her to go for some therapy or sth. And she is like - no way, I am not going. So it sounds great for me as you can hear quite often that you should work on yourself, change this or that, improve yourself and all this BS. Plus as they say there aren't people mentally ill and normal but only not assessed. :) So for me it means like - no way, you won't have any control of my life. My life, my problems - watch you own nose.

    General Comment:Dear Amy

I remember buying "Back to Black" and playing it everyday for weeks. I remember crying along to "Love Is a Losing Game." I remember getting into multiple shouting matches with my friends and family about your talent. You were a good person, and a GREAT artist, fuck what anyone else says. I sobbed for hours when I heard that you were gone. I have that sick, heart-heavy feeling, and it's killing me. I know I'm gonna be feeling it for a long time. But like you said, tears dry on their own. I hope yours have dried at last, and that you're at peace, still making beautiful music wherever you are. <3

My Opinion:I like how it's a song about her personal experiences.Songs are usually about love and relationships, but this one isn't which is a nice difference.

General Comment:This song is a modern classic. It's one of my favourites ever. It's so fitting for a time when it's almost fashionable to be constantly checking in and out of rehab. It came along at the right time. This song will be looked back on as an all-time great.

General Comment:on the i told you i was trouble dvd extras there's such a good bit about this song that made me love it even more. after she broke up with blake, she went on a bender and ending up staying at her dads for a few weeks. her record company came round and tried to make her go to rehab. her dad said she was fine and she didnt want to go. they kept asking her so eventually she went just to shut them up. and she was talking to the man and telling him her situation and he just said "you're not an alcoholic, you're just depressed" so she said thanks and walked out the door.
