i lurve this song. gawd. i have been lsitening to it on repeat for an hour and a half. some one on the other set of lyrics said that it reminded them on a lovely bunch of coconuts and i know what they mean. it really does

I still see a few mistakes in these lyrics.....but they're definitly a lot closer then the other ones...... This song is hilarious though......I couldn't stop laughing after the first time I listened to it (and every other time!!)...... I'ts a great song and I think a great ending to the album!!!!!!

yeah, i agree with last parade. it's hilarious and it was a good way to end the album. what i find funnier than the song is that a lot of us find it funny, but the song is actually really really weird. i love it anyway tho....haha.

This song actually reminds me of some kind of old times, round about 50's maybe?
I can imagine Gerard in a suit and marching around singing it, it's got that kind of voice too.

this song is about when the Patient dies and his family members find a diary of his life in the hospital. the blood is describing how the nurses had to draw blood everyday and also the flowers part "Send you roses when they think you need to smile" this symbolizes his family members giving him get well flowers.

good song.. i think its about someone talking about their family and how the doctors cant figure out what is wrong with them (that is why he keeps saying "So give them blood, blood Gallons of the stuff") because of all the blood they draw for testing... its about how your family supports you but doesnt come to see you. they just send you flowers. i may be putting too much thought into it but thats just an idea

While my first idea ties not into the concept of the album, I think so strongly that in this song he is talking about the fans. Why...I have no idea. But it hints at it.
Second and more believable is that it's just about a patient in a hospital. If you've even been stuck in a hospital bed, you will know they talk down to you like a little kid. They also try and make you feel special, particularly if family refuses to visit. I think this song is just mocking the actions of doctors and nurses. To me it seems like it anyway.

This is a tough one…but bear with me…plus it’s my opinion…you don’t like it then write what you think and want to hear.

The verse is about being in the hospital about to die. This shows that the song is sarcastic right away by Gerard’s tone of voice.

“So give them blood, blood
Gallons of the stuff”

I think he’s saying he wants you to give blood, for him and the other patients to survive.

“Give them all that they can drink and it will never be enough”

He makes the ever-so-famous reference to vampires. They will always ask for more, when you’ve given all you’ve got.

“Give them blood, blood, blood
Grab a glass because there's going to be a flood.”

He is talking about him and the patients.

I guess he has been on a stretcher for a long time…and people know him now.

I guess it’s saying that they only like him, because he’s going to die, and they are being polite, and he finds it alarming cause nobody really likes…come on…he’s and awful fuck (it isn’t why thank you after ‘awful fuck’ it’s oh thank you)

He means that he’s a terrible guy that’s on his death bed, but no matter who he is, everyone loves him

Wooh…that was hard…

I love this song, but it’s hard to understand what he means.

The first time I heard this song, I was listening to the edited version. And, since on the edited version there aren't any curse words, when it says, "But it's really quite alarming cause I'm such an awful fuck", it's just a long, "BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP" where it says fuck! My sister and I cracked up, because usually they just... ya' know... 'mute' it out.

And, also, I personally just think this is a random song about blood donors/vampires/vampaneze. :P

Ok that was a bad joke if ever I have made one
Nah but anyway
Whilst it has meaning toward the patient
There is another meaning like most mcr songs
When you read between the line it is also an extra track relating to mcr and how they have changed with their fame these days but they are still the same people they always were and they know where they came from
It is about how obsessive fans can be and how much is expected of mcr now that they are all famous and whatnot
"Give them all that they can drink and it will never be enough"
As in how demanding their lives are these days with the success of the band
Well thats just what I heard anyways
