Lyrics for Mama as interpreted by AbsolutionAgent_gMs

Mama Lyrics
Mama, we all go to hell.
Mama, we all go to hell.
I'm writing this letter and wishing you well.
Mama, we all go to hell.

Oh, well now, Mama, we're all gonna die.
Mama, we're all gonna die.
Stop asking me questions, I hate to see you cry.
Mama, we're all gonna die.

And when we go don't blame us, yeah,
We'll let the fire just bathe us, yeah,
You made us oh so famous
We’ll never let you go.
And when you go don't return to me my love.

Mama, we're all full of lies.
Mama, we're meant for the flies.
And right now they're building a coffin your size.
Mama, we're all full of lies.

Well Mother, what the war did to my legs and to my tongue,
You should have raised a baby girl
I should have been a better son
If you could coddle the infection, they can amputate at once
You should’ve been
I could have been a better son.

And when we go don't blame us, yeah,
We'll let this fire just bathe us, yeah,
You made us oh so famous,
We'll never let you go.

She said "you ain't no son of mine"
For what you done they're gonna find
A place for you and just you mind
Your manners when you go.
And when you go don't return to me my love,
That's right.

Mama, we all go to hell,
Mama, we all go to hell,
It’s really quite pleasant except for the smell,
Mama, we all go to hell.

Mama, Mama, Mama, ohhhh.
Mama, Mama, Mama.

Liza: And if you would call me your sweetheart, I'd maybe then sing you a song.

Gerard: But there's shit that I've done with this fuck of a gun,
You will cry out your eyes all along.

We’re damned after all.
Through fortune and fame we fall.
And if you can stay then I’ll show you the way
To return to the ashes you call.

We all carry on,
When our brothers in arms are gone,
So raise your glass high, for tomorrow we die,
And return from the ashes you call.

The chorus ("And when we go don't blame us, yeah,
We let the fire just bathe us, yeah,
You made us oh so famous
We’ll never let you go.") seems like he's talking to the fans that made them famous and not to blame them when they eventually stop making CDs.... I don't see how that's relevant to the song, though.

I don't really know what it's about, but.... wow!! It's pretty amazing, I agree.

Kerrang is full of shit.

Very haunting song. Reminds me of the holocaust with the style of music throughout the verses and the lyrics.

YAY! this song owns!
probably the good song off the new CD!
Liza Minelli's voice fits well, and the music is very eastern european, it could've been better, add some screaming, some more complexe guitarlines, some keyboards, but hey it's good as it is :)

Guess they still have some tricks up their sleeves.

this song reminds me of germans and austrians wearing laderhousen doing funny dances, the holocaust and people fighting and burning and jerky old war footage, and some old woman in a rocking chair

I think I've eaten to much cheese tonight

the guitar in this song towards the end is awesome. as i said before; not keen on the album but yeah, nice song.
i think it's like the paitent has been to war & like killed people, and he's sorry for it. but he did what he had to do & he's down with that.

i thought maybe that the patient isnt in all of the songs, that soem of them were about other people he might have met in his journey, cos i cant see how this really fits otherwise

rainbow gryphon, I agree. That's how i see this song. The Black Parade shows him this war, and these individuals. The first one tells his mother he is gonna go to hell for killing all these people. Then another one is crying about how he's gonna die. The third one is saying they are liars. The fourth one is blaming himself, saying she should've raised a baby girl, at least a baby girl wouldn't go killing people. While he's singing, you hear a crazy, Beulzebub-sounding devil voice sing with him. He is having to have his leg amputated. The last one reinforces the image that they are going to hell, and he speaks as if he's already there "it's really quite pleasant, except for the smell."
During the chorus, they all cry out together, every single soldier on the battlefield, for the sorrow and the pity of what they are doing to each other.
Then the mother disowns her son for all the bad things he's done. "And just you mind your manners when you go." Then a man speaks to his lover. Her voice is full of sorrow, and the man says that he's done terrible things...and then all the dead men raise up and say "
we're dead after all....
raise up your glasses for tomorrow we die!"

This song is very big and dramatic, it is really like a musical number.

I just imagine the patient seeing all these sad boys writing home to their mothers and their lovers, crying, saying they're going to die soon, and they don't want to. Thhey're going to hell for killing these other boys. Then he sees the big picture, and everyone is singing, in a line with each other, saying they are all brothers in arms, and tomorrow they die. it's showing that they are trapped; no way out. They have to kill each other and they have to die. It's a miserable life, and the patient should be grateful he isn't here, dying on this god-forsaken battlefield. The scope is this song is just huge. I love it.

I think this is about Soldiers at war gonna march into gunfire and get slaughtered and they know it.

They know they've done some bad shit in their life, so they are gonna go to hell, and really all they want is their 'mama'.

Well you know how Gerard was talking about how 'the patient' encounters all these different people and characters on his journey through death? Well I'm pretty sure that this one is about Mother War (sung by Liza Minelli)

But this is one of my favorite songs off of this amazing album. It reminds me of the band Gogol Bordello...they're from Romania and awesome as shit.
