Lyrics for Heaven Help Us as interpreted by strider3005

Heaven Help Us Lyrics
Hear the sound
The angels come screaming
Down, your voice
I hear you've been bleeding
Make your choice
They say you've been pleading
Someone save us

Heaven help us now
Come crashing down
We'll hear the sound
As you're falling down meds

I'm at this old hotel
But can't tell if I've been breathing or sleeping
Or screaming or waiting for the man to call
And maybe all of the above
Cause mostly I've been sprawled on these cathedral steps
While spitting out the blood and screaming
Someone save us

Heaven help us now
Come crashing down
We'll hear the sound
As you're falling down

And will you pray for me?
Or make me say don't leave?
And will you lay for me?
Or make a saint of me?

Cause I'll give you all the nails you need
Cover me in gasoline
Wipe away those tears of blood again
And the punchline to the joke is asking
Someone save us

Heaven help us now
Come crashing down
We'll hear the sound
As you fall

And would you pray for me?
(You don't know a thing about my sins)
(How the misery begins)
Or make us say don't leave?
(You don't know)
(So I'm burning, I'm burning)
And will you lay for me?
(You don't know a thing about my sins)
(How the misery begins)
Or make a saint of me?
(You don't know)
(Cause I'm burning, I'm burning)

Cause I'll give you all the nails you need
(I'm burning, I'm burning again)
Cover me in gasoline again

Oh, come on, Im nOt OkaY.

A b-side is part of a single.

For example:
Pearl Jam releases the single "World Wide Suicide"

If you buy that single, there is one other song along with it, "Unemployable". That song is a b-side.

I believe this song's about Joan of Arc, at least sort of.
Cause Gerard talked about how he'd been "obsessed" with Joan of Arc for a while during the writing of The Black Parade.
Anyone else agree?

yeah, it's one of those songs that you have to listen to a few times and then you love it (like i do now).
i love the tune of the chorus, and the lyrics are awesome.
it's good enough it probably could have been on the album.

This Song is One of my New Favorites.. when i listen to this song i get the sense that a man is suffering and that he turns to religion then he is just like.. "fuck it! i'll help crucify that man, i'll be a sinner, just let me die and go to hel"l (i'll give you all the nails you need, cover me in gasoline again)... definitely fits in with the theme of TBP.. it would probably come somewhere before Welcome to the black parade.. Maybe in between The End and Dead! like B12 said... maybe thats why they cut it.. the songs wouldnt blend... anyway.. tite song!

actually I think the lyrics are like this:

hear the sound
the angels come screaming
down your voice
I hear you've been bleading
make your choice
they say you've been pleading
someone save us

heaven help us now
I hear the sound
come crashing down
as you're falling down and

at this old hotel
I can't tell if I've been
breathin' or sleepin' or screamin' or waitin' for the man to call
and maybe all of the above
cause' mostly I've been sprawled on these cathedral steps
while spitting out the blood and screaming
someone save us

heaven help us now
come crashing down
I hear the sound
as you're fallin' down and

would you pray for me
or make a saint of me
and would you lay for me
or make a saint of

I'll give you all the nails you need
cover me in gasoline
wipe away the tears of blood again
and the punchline to the joke is asking
someone save us

heaven help us now
come crashing down
I hear the sound
as you fall

and would you pray for me
or make a saint of me
and would you lay for me
or make a saint of

cause' I'll give you all the nails you need
cover me in gasoline again

(I couldn't figure out what they were saying in the back-ground)

Its a fucking awesome song.
Its Joan of Arc naturally.
Its beautifully wrote and i was disappointed it wasn't on the CD, its actually my fave new MCR song, since their new album is pretty lame.
anyway my fave part is 'Cause mostly I've been sprawled on these cathedral steps
While spitting out the blood and screaming
Someone save us'
For some reason it gives me a gothic vibe, with the mix of religion and pain and suffering. i hsould stop now.

This song to me is about those people who act like they are trying to help, but they are hypocrtical or judgemental about it and their intentions aren't exactly true. I can see where people get Joan of Arc,and it may be about her,i am not sure. It took me a while to get used to it,and it took me forever to recognize exactly what tune the first line was from(O night divine),but it is actually one of my favorite MCR now,but i can see why they didn't put it on the CD,i think it's a preferred taste song. But i like the message.

One of the reasons I don't think it made it on the album, is that although I can kind of see where it ties in with the Patient, but I can't see where it could fit into The Black Parade.

Probably why it's a B-side. Fits the concept, not the story.

My 2¢ anyway.

This song rocks. I got all three b-sides off iTunes. If only the last two albums had some b-sides! Their next single should be House Of Wolves, and it better have... 2 b-sides! *manical laughter*

*SONG MEANING*
Anyways common sense tells you it about the world needing help (heaven help us). I do agree about the Joan of Arc theme. But Gerard is also/or saying a person in pain screaming to the world that this is hell, the world has goon down,or that he,Patient, needs help, his world and surroundings are faiting with hell and he just wants to die.

*WHERE TO RECIEVE THIS SONG*
you can recieve this song on lime wire or itunes like the others Famous Last Words B-side songs.

Umm I still find something wrong with the lyrics.

Instead of "I'm at this old hotel",
I think it's actually "Help this old hotel",

i know it sounds self explanatory, but it still is pretty damn good. it's helped me get through a lot of shit, just like the rest of the album and their other songs.

it's about someone who is going through a really hard time... and i think in a way tries to turn to a god or something.

I love this so much. From the moment I heard it I adored it. I think it has a different feel to it in comparison to some of their other songs.

My opinion: He's dying and knows he's done some really bad things in life ("You don't know a thing about my sins"), so he can only hope he'll get to heaven ("And would you pray for me?").
"'Cause I'll give you all the nails you need" -- To build his coffin."
"Cover me in gasoline again" -- He wants it all to end.
